Morgan Co Cemeteries
Richard Blunk gave me your name and said you and a few others go around clearing, cleaning and documenting cemeteries in Morgan Co. I am in the process of working on Mannan Cemetery (both the Morgan County and Owen County sides) I have photographed about 50% of the Morgan County side to add the pictures to find a grave or create memorials for the ones that don't already have one. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with other cemeteries.

I went ahead and spent $5 to sponsor Eddie's memorial. The ads will be removed and now you and Linda and Steve can add up to 20 pictures if you'd like.

RE: William Robert "Billy" Smith
That is unfortunate that the marker is gone now, but I'm not surprised. Thank you very much for the kind words, I appreciate it!

RE: William Robert Smith
Hi Karen,
I believe the cemetery you are speaking of must be Old Simpson Chapel, which according to the find-a-grave cemetery description is about half a mile west of the new Simpson Chapel cemetery. I have been out to Simpson Chapel twice but I didn't know about the old cemetery until a few months ago and I just haven't been back yet to check it out. That is great to find out that Billy Smith is buried there; I will definitely have to go down there in the near future and see if I can find his and Sarah's stones! Hopefully if the stone is still there, it is legible because I don't have any info on his birth or death dates. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Burkhart Cemetery

If you are going out to Burkhart Cemetery again you might want to take an overall picture of the cemetery and post it as well.
