I have been tramping around cemeteries since I was a small child and still love it. I am most familiar with the cemeteries around Conway, Missouri which is in Laclede County but very close to Dallas and Webster Counties. I was raised there and my families have lived in the area since the mid-1800's. I'm familiar with the other families in the area, too. I love genealogy and work with people for acceptance into several lineage societies through finding their ancestry and documentation. But, my favorite part has always been the cemeteries. I have a really soft spot in my heart for unmarked graves - they are so sad! I like to find some way for people to know where they are and possibly find a way for people looking for someone to find them, one of several reasons I love Find a Grave! |
Please feel free to use any photos I have taken of graves however you feel necessary.

I do not keep all those that contact me with added information as my computer would be overloaded in memory. You may want to contact those that have left flowers, perhaps they know or was the one that sent info.

Thanks so much for the information on Wiley Farmer, Confederate soldier. I would not have known he was identified and reburied with a tombstone without your research.

Hello Clemmie, I am unfamiliar with the couple you named, but I could do a little checking in some old records I have. May not turn up anything, but I will get back to you either way. Just need a little time. Thanks for contacting me.

Hi Carmen, no, I am not related to these Boyd's. My Boyd's came from Christian Co., MO.

U r so very welcome.

I updated the dates. These Porter are not related to me. Years ago I was visiting my Grandmother in Missouri. She gave me 2 old Bibles that she had got in a box at an auction. I brought them back to California with me and put them away for years. About 3 years ago I came across the Bibles. So I went online to Ancestry.com to try to connect with a family member. I also found the clipping for some obits and put them on Find a grave. I am happy to say I did find homes with family members for both Bibles. They were very happy, they had no idea they existed.

I have put the obit on.

Thank you for the information. I will check with the family. His obituary is where it stated that he was buried in Lonesome Hill. Again thank you for taking your time to try to find it for my family.
thank you so much for your time in taking the picture of a headstone for me of cordelia wells. I truly appreciate what you have done.
