Don, If you are ever in the area again, can you please take pics of all the tombstones for those with the last name of "White" in the Palo Alto Cemetery in Catahoula Parish. I noticed you took a few there before. I appreciate your help. Thanks, Eva

Wonderful. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much, Don. I wondered why Vida's tombstone showed no death date. That would explain it. She didn't know where in PA she died, did she? I didn't see a F.A.G. memorial for her besides the "false" one in Jena.
Thanks for adding the family links. I also filled out the F.A.G. form for updating his places of birth & death as well as full name. I guess you'll be getting a notice about that. I don't know how that new feature works.
I created a memorial for Joan a few days ago after her niece (Libby) told me about her passing. Ernest & Lloyd were my 1st cousins, twice removed (my grandmother was a Girlinghouse).

I wonder if you know her family and where they lived in SC. Also, do you have information on the Powell family history??
This is my wife's family and I am trying to collect the loose ends for my son and grand sons.

Appreciate the message and learning the condition of cemetery. Jane
Really appreciate the photos of Cotten cemetery. When I reuested them, I was not sure that anyone could even find the cemetery. Were there only the two graves listed on Find A Grave in the cemetery? Thanks Jane
I can not link Mr. James "Jake" Steven's siblings to him.. siblings can only be connected to their parents
Per your earlier mention in your original photo request as to how Lieutenant lost his life, I submitted an edit request on October 6th suggesting that the following be included as a bio note to his memorial:
"1st Lieutenant Stephens was killed in a B-26 bomber crash in Monroe, Louisiana (per Don Enlow, #47612092)"
Per your message on my wall confirming that he was piloting the aircraft, I modified my suggested edit a bit and added it as a caption to his individual stone photo.
I tried to find his mother through record searches to no avail. The Lieutenant is actually buried next to his father, and two of his brothers plus Mary Stephens (b 1890) (whom I haven't been able to tie in, but is buried next to Bennie) are buried in this same plot.
I actually took photos for the entire family there, and I imagine I will post them for the time being. When the weather is not playing tricks on me and I am in Leesville, I plan to trim around the stones a bit and retake them (wish I knew when they mowed there).
When I accomplish this, I will touch base with you. Thank you for remembering and honoring our fallen service members.

Don, thank you for the photos and information you provided. It appears that a lot of markers are being taken by mother nature, and you assured us of saving them. I do have a lot of family buried in the cemetery, and not sure if your able to go back out, I am adding more requests. Also interested in a photo of the cemetery itself since none are listed.
Thanks again for your most welcome preservation of the memorials
