I started collecting Kuchman/Mahler Family Genealogy of Rochester, New York over 30 years ago. In 2006 after my Dad passed away, it became time to sort thru all the boxes, notebooks and old photos and put them into a computer program and preserve family memories. I started with Ancestry and Family Tree Maker 16 and I am now using FTM 2012 with great results. Genealogy has become an addiction for me. I have met new family and many new friends all over the world. Genealogy never ends! Now is the time to add my family and friends to Find-A-Grave. | |

Hi David,
Just wanted to thank-you for the pictures you posted. I am the grand-daughter of Helen Schmitz-Roth and George Schmitz. My parents seperated when I was young so I never met my grandfather, and only knew my grandmother for a short time. Seeing these pictures has been a real treat for me. I started w/ancestry.com about a year ago. The information you have posted has been very helpful. If by any chance you have any more pics I would love to see them if I may. My grandmother at one point owned a grocery store in Gates Chili (I think it was Schmitty's or something) where my dad spent alot of time when he was young. I always wondered what the store looked like. Thanks again for posting. Happy Holiday's to you and your family!
