Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi - I am Sheila Curlis Skidmore - I was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky - but have lived most of my life in Tennessee. I have been married for more than 40 years and blessed with 2 wonderful daughters and 4 beautiful granddaughters. When our daughters married and moved away - I focused my extra time on searching for long lost ancestors and the stories of how they came to America and stopped along their way in many different locations. Most of these families finally made their final settlement in Ohio and Kentucky.

Some of my other joys in life are growing daylilies - watching and attending sporting events, having friends and family visit and sharing our Family Tree with others in the family. I have also enjoyed being a contributor volunteer for Find A Grave.

Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to any of my memorials. For transfers - I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and they are not part of my family tree and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.

Please feel free to use any of the photos I have posted for your family genealogy, including your tree on I would appreciate it if you would credit that you got the photo from my posting on FAG. You may NOT use my photos "for profit" or in any form of advertising without my express permission.

Lets all share with one another and be respectful of the mothers, fathers, children, and family members of the memorials we manage.

I saw your listed for Ralph K. Lowe at the Gooch Cemetery. In 1927 there was an R.K. Lowe who was Scoutmaster of the Kings Mountain Boy Scout Troop do you know anything about this family? Ralph K.'s mother was Ada Skidmore.

Hollywood cemetery request

Yes, I did receive a request for Nando Jones, I didn't claim it because I didn't know when I'd get by there, although I do live in Jackson, Tn. plus I do remember his store and my fathers story of visiting when he was a young boy.
Once there, I saw someone had claimed the photo as I logged in to post the picture I had just taken, didn't think it was a big deal. Sorry for not following the established rules, my bad,
I don't think it hurts to have more than one picture.

We were at Double Spring Cemetery yesterday looking around. Saw Mo and Fred's graves then found you on Find A Grave. Tell Richard that I said hello. ClaraRae Barnett Haught

That person posted that grave photo when I had already claimed it. That's bad form.

RE: Turner Graves at Hollywood Cemetery - Madison Co., TN
Thanks so much! You actually messaged me while I was at the cemetery looking for them in vain. That's so funny. :) I enjoy just visiting so it isn't a big deal. Thank you for your kindness!
