|Born in Oakland, California. Fourth generation Anglo Californian, of mostly British descent. One set of Great Grandparents lived first in Amador, then Fiddletown, then finally Eureka. My father's paternal grandparents immigrated from Croatia, bringing my Grandfather with them in 1881. I'm a sentimental sort and a bit of an ancestry and history buff, and that is what drew me to this site.|

hey steve I transferred ownership of Peter S Catanich's entry in the city of nogales' cemetery to you. good luck with your quest for a picture.

Good morning Steve -- the entry for Peter S Catanich - born 1829 died 1900 was included in the old version of the City of Nogales records. Gravesite is listed as Section A Row S Site 1. All of the tombstones have been photographed as far as I know in Section A so I am thinking there might not be one there on his grave. I will send your request along to some others who might have photographed that area and if I get an opportunity I will go out there myself. The records for the Nogales Cemetery are in disarray but there are plans to get everything up to date in the works. Most city cemeteries I am afraid suffer from the same disease - low or no funding. If you want to call city of Nogales - public works department and ask for Frank Lopez - he is the head groundskeeper and perhaps he can help you with more information.

I've transferred my memorial over to you. She is, after all, your grandmother and you should be the person who manages her memorial page.
Cheers - Kathie
