I have been doing genealogy as a hobby for over 25 years and am gradually adding members of my family and others to Find A Grave, and/or adding personal photos from my collection and details to memorials which you wonderful volunteers have already added. I have Swedish ancestry and enjoy doing Swedish research in my spare time.|
Besides my family and its connections in the USA and Sweden, my other areas of interest are historical, war and military graves in Europe. The purpose of my contributions to the Find A Grave website is to respectfully honor and help preserve the memories of those who have gone before us.
Please use the edit tab on each memorial page for suggestions, corrections or additions.
My grave photos are free to anyone for non-profit use, and it would be much appreciated if you gave credit to Find A Grave.
Thanks to everyone for your contributions and for so promptly filling requests! I will upgrade all memorials where photo requests of mine are fulfilled.

|Lutetia||Friederike and Johann Franz von Wendt|
I was actually surprised who Friederikes mother was, and who her daughter was. It would be interesting to find out where those two are buried.
A note on the two memorials. They aren't cenotaphs they are actually buried there.

I am very happy you are getting those photos. Interesting thing with that "bone chamber". Last time I was on Helgoland was in the mid 1980's, waaaaaaayyyyyy before my interest in cemeteries.

Many thanks for adding the photographs for the memorials in the Waldfriedhof Krieger-Ehrenhain. I have accepted the changes you requested to the dates and name spellings. There were some genuine transcription errors on my behalf but there are also some real discrepancies between the details given on the gravestone and those recorded on memorial cards and in official casualty lists. However, minor differences between the details in different sources are not that all uncommon for servicemen.

Have been doing some family history and found out I'm related to Hans Simon Braun. Trying to find any family on him. He died at Dachau in January 1941. He was born in January 1904. It was said that he was a photographer. I live in the U.S. so getting info is hard.

I am sorry you did not like the balloons. I did try to remove them, but the link you had in your post did not work properly. I finally found the memorial again by searching her name and found that the balloons had already been removed.
|Al Holter||Karolina Sofia Karlsson - 5/15/1854 - 3/10/1891 - Torpa - Smalland - Sweden|
I'm trying to locate a relative over there and hopefully view her memorial page. Someone I know here in the U.S. had been to her grave last year but he didn't have a camera with him and never took a photo, so I know there's a grave and marker. If you know anyone close to that cemetery could you see if they would take the photo? Thank you very much and thank you for all you do for F.A.G. Al Holter
