Bio Photo Family is forever! That is a lesson I learned at a young age when my grandparents exposed me to their pride in their family history. Their enthusiasm sparked an interest in me to explore and learn more on my own.

I have always been interested in who I am and where I came from. Delving into tracing my ancestors is one of the most exciting, challenging, FUN, insightful, delicious and intriguing things I will ever do. It has become more than a hobby it has become a passion and an obsession, but the good kind! It's like going home to a place I've never been before, and like meeting family for the first time and having a feeling I've always known them.

Let me introduce you to my family, and you'll get to know us better. RE: Geo. Crayton & Nancy J. Johnson
You are most welcome! Until 2 years ago, Holts Chapel Cemetery was unkept and open to vandalism. The church who has proprietorship has fenced the cemetery and keeps it gated and locked. The caretaker is a fantastic guy and is always willing to help me locate graves there. The church has restored and reset many markers but so many have been broken or destroyed that many graves are now unmarked. I was happy to locate the Crayton graves there and find their markers intact. You may have noticed another surname on the headstone--May. Buried with George and Nancy are Roy Everett May (Sept 17 1901-July 17 1974) and Eliza A. Crayton May (wife of Roy E. May; Aug 1 1898-July 15 1958). Another grave in this family plot is for Floyd A. Jeffries (June 2 1917-Dec 17 1943). I thought you might be interested in case any of these are relatives.

re: Eddie Floyd Crayton

He is now linked to his parents. Good Luck in your research endeavors.

Eddie Floyd Crayton
Since Eddie isn't one of my entries, you will have to go to the person who put him in and request that he (in this case David Oxford)connect him to his parents.

To do that, go to the top of Eddie's entry and click on the little "edit" tab at the top. When that comes up, just put in your request with the names and entry numbers of both parents.

David should be happy to do that for you. He's a regular on Find A Grave.

Nancy Crayton
Hi Bob,

I've added Nancy's mother's name to her entry. Take a look at it and make sure that I did it right.

Thank you for letting me know, and if there's anything else I need to add, I'll be happy to.

RE: James Charles
That is great to hear Bob. I love a success story at F.A.G.! Especially if I played a tiny part. Bob, I accepted your photo request for Adolphus C. Crayton. I wanted to make you aware that he is listed as Creighton, Date of Death: 03/23/1964, Burial Date: 03/25/1964. His cemetery Location is
Section: PESCUD, Lot: 18-B, Plot: 3.

BTY, there is a JOSEPH CRAYTON, Birth and death unknown, located in Oakwood at Section: WEST BRANCH, Division: H Lot: 26 Plot: 3. I am 99% certain his grave is unmarked because I searched for his grave twice when I searched for Monty Creighton. There is a Hubert and a Francis in the same lot by the Crayton name.

CREIGHTON, JOSEPH MRS,Death: 08/14/1892 Section: WEST BRANCH, Division: H, Lot: 26 Plot: 3, is also there.

Forgive me if I have mention this before and you already have this information. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware.

Evelyn Crayton
The grave of Evelyn Crayton in located at the Friendship Church in Greensboro vs the Friendship Church in Monticello. You should move your photo request to that cemetery. It is incorrectly listed in both cemeteries. I checked the one in Monticello and didn't find it. I then checked both cemetery surveys to determine that she is buried in Greensboro.
