Born and raised in the (Rye Beat Area) Hamilton, Alabama, State Hwy.17-S, about 1 1/2 miles from these COOPER Cemeteries, located off of Marion County Hwy 22 near Cooper Free Will Baptist Church.|
This Cooper Cemetery was originaly called "JOHNSON GRAVEYARD" in memory of the first burial: Jane Johnson who was buried ca. 1877, where she loved to play.
I am Sec/Tres for the Cooper Cemeteries Perpetual Care Fund. I have kept an updated burial list for these cemeteries now for 20 plus years. The list includes name, dates, parents and spouses if known.
The 3rd Sunday in May is the Memorial Day for these Cemeteries.
I have been researching Family Genealogy for the past 30 Years.
My Families: Rye, Bowling, Harris, Brown, Lockhart, Stacy, Dill, Liles, Jones, Brown, Earnest. Cook, Blount, Stell, Clifton, Sims, Vining, Sims, Ashcraft, Babb, Robertson, Waldrop, James.
My Husband's Families:
Kasberg, Ertel, Schmeddinghoff, Gutmann.
Pelton, Kinkead, Poovey, Newman, McDaniel, Sparks, Willeford, Abernathy.
Concering Links, Corrections and Transfer Request:
Please use the "EDIT" on each memorial that way I have the memorial number and the contributor number, it makes it much easier to update, make links or transfer. For a transfer please state your connection to the memorial.
Please DO NOT leave Family Names and Memorial Numbers with a flower or token, PLEASE edit the memorial and I will be more than glad to make the links, Thanks.
Thanks to those contributors who have left flowers or tokens on my memorials. I enjoy seeing and reading them.
Many "THANKS" to Charlotte Bradley Dupree and NativePride for now helping with Find A Grave Memorials.

|Wayne Andrews||Hardy Robertson|
I am researching the ancestors of Hardy Robertson (Find A Grave Memorial# 53253626). Is there some proof that his parents were William and Mary Ellen (Barnes) Robertson.
It would be most helpful to have any information on Hardy that you can share.

Sorry, but the tombtone inscription says, "Dau of W.K.and M.A. Murphy." This means that this person was a female rather than a male.

She is buried at Antioch Baptist Church, Lamar County, Alabama. She married Austin Albert Flynn. They are my grandparents. There are pictures and dates of their tombstone on ancestry.com.

Glad to help out. I think it's a great tool to link the parents. When we all work together, it is beneficial for everyone. You're welcome, and God Bless You!
