|Son of Richard E Helman |
Birthday 2/25/1956 Married to Tina (Kendall) Helman.
I have had a lot of interest in family history. I have been President of the Helman Reunion for about 15 years and update my family tree often. I love strolling the cemeteries looking for tomestones of family members. I also research the Talhelms, Beards, Shulleys, Sprenkles, and many other family names. I'am retired and this is a great way to keep in shape walking miles through the cemeteries often.

I'm wondering if the date of death for John Beard is correct, the headstone is difficult to read and I'm having trouble locating the Civil War records/death records for him.
Do you know of any other John Beards buried at that cemetery? I'm trying to locate a list of interments online, maybe there is a record somewhere?
You have his father as John Washington and Margaret (Baumgardner) Beard, do you know if they had a daughter named Margaret born in Ohio approx 1819?
Let me know and thanks!

Just sent a few more cousins your way!
|Karen Smith||Wilmer Helman|
I just created a memorial for Wilmer E. Helman, infant son of Donald and Florene Helman. I linked him to his parents. I added a photo of their stone today and saw he didn't yet have a memorial so I created one for him. If you want a transfer let me know. I'd be happy to do that.
|Laura Kessler Hershey||Jacob Freet|
Wow! I think you are definitely right! I keep going over the info and I remembered when I was on ancestry.com there were 2 census' for 1880. Jacob Freet was in Mt. Pleasant Township in Adams County. A month later it shows he was in Franklin County. That was right when I started doing my research and I just assumed he moved. I do see what you are saying though. The William Freet you linked to Jacob Freet, is that 100% correct. I guess I will unlink my William and any of the other children that are to my Jacob Freet. I have no idea now where he and his wife are buried. I'm seeing all the kids are Catholic so maybe I will check records at Conewago Chapel to see if they were buried there. I also saw that one of my Jacob's daughters said she was the daughter of the late Jacob Freet, near Irishtown which would prove you are right!! At one point they built their church or some room over top of some of the graves which are no longer marked. Thanks for showing me this!!
Take Care, Laura Hershey

|Karen Smith||RE: Daniel Hager|
Got in touch with his Grandson. He says Daniel is buried in Spring Grove in Lemasters.
|Karen Smith||RE: Daniel Hager|
I guess we do have the same info. Daniel's wife is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery in Lemasters. I didn't see it listed here, but a picture of her stone and it's location I found on Ancestry. She remarried a Statler, so she may be buried with him and not Daniel.
|Karen Smith||Daniel S Hager|
Do you have any information on a Daniel Hager that died in a quarry in April of 1944? He lived in Antrim Twp. and had 9 children according to the two articles I've read. No other info. was given and can't find an obit. Is this William and Annie (Hartman) Hager's son? There were several Daniel Hager's and I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
