|Anna Jaech||Williams Family|
I'll keep my eye open for the elder Menette. Neat name! Were you aware of the mid-Missouri group - Williams, Johnson, Cave, Hayden, Osborn, Colvin, Tutt and more. We have never been able to learn the parents of those born about 1750 to 1780. I know I descend from Col. James Williams, but don't know which of his children,,,,.
I have asked that you like Elizabeth Springle Williams to Dr. Williams. This will also link him to his siblings. I am of the line that settled Boone & Callaway counties.
Are you aware that there was an woman called Menette in the earlier generations of this family?

I don't have the documentation that you need for your clean line. I see on ancestry that several people have Jacob as a son of Major Tipton and Keziah Robertson. I went into each tree: no one shows documentation.
You need a US Census from 1800: that should show Keziah and Jacob together.
What part of the country do you live in? I am asking in case it is an area I am familiar and can send you to a research center.
My email is email@example.com. If you like, contact me through that. If you can prove Keziah, you will have two or three more supplementals.

You are absolutely correct regarding Major Tipton's children. Through which child are you trying to prove descent? I may have some information, albeit scant. You are certainly welcome to everything that I have.
When requesting parental links, the child must be linked to the parent. Find A Grave does not allow a contributor to link the parent to the child.
You sent me a link for William's son, but I believe that John might be his grandson. His son John was born in 1821. Thanks! ~ Kim

I have no more information regarding this gentleman.

I'm so pleased you asked! It's easy. Write down the number of the mother, father or spouse you wish to link. Open the memorial. Look down the page to where it says "Family Link" or "Link Family". There you will see [Edit] in blue letters. Click on this & a box will open. Enter the number of the parent or spouse in the correct box & press enter. That's all there is to it.
Linking is so very helpful. Many people won't look any farther than the memorial they're on. If a child's name appears, or a spouses, there is instant family!
Let me know if you have questions.
I have looked for years for the correct Williams family in this area of KY. My John Williams (b. about 1775) married Frances Brent & they owned land in Scott, Bourbon, Franklin & Woodford counties at various times. A fire destroyed the record of who his parents were!

Please link John to his father, John Williams who is #113701552. If this is your family, I would truly appreciate knowing it.

Thanks for the update.
I am descended from Maj. John Graves' younger sister, Jane Young Graves, who married Adrial M. King, through their daughter, Mary Jane King, who married George Washington Williams.
If you need to fill in a blank, I might have just what you need.

If you are not descended from Maj. John Graves, would you please consider transferring him to me??? He was a member of my Graves family. I can add some more information to his memorial page and make the links.
If you are descended, could you please tell me how??? We might be able to help each other fill in a few blanks.
Thanks for all you do on Find-A-Grave.com
