My wife and I live in Huntsville, Alabama and we both graduated from Lee High School in 1964. We have three adult sons, a grand daughter, a great grand son and one spoiled dog. I'm a dedicated fan of The University of Alabama football team; Roll Tide! I served in the United States Navy aboard the destroyer, USS Hopewell (DD-681) and am a Vietnam veteran (1966).|
I've been working on my family tree off and on for some time now but, lost a lot of my info during a remodel on our home. I've just started recompiling a little bit at a time since I retired from the cable tv industry in 2010. I stumbled across FindAGrave.com in searching for ancestors and realized how much work all the contributors have put forth in compiling all this data into these memorials. I like to think of this as showing honor and respect in creating memorials to all the loving, gentle family and friends that have passed on before me. I LOVE REUNITING FAMILIES via the "FAMILY LINK" feature on here.
If one of my memorial creations is a close relative of yours (within four generations), I'll be more than happy to "transfer" it to you. If any of my memorials help anyone in the completion of their family tree, then so much the better. I just hope one of my sons or another family member will assume the management of my memorials after I leave this world to be with my Heavenly Father.
I truly appreciate all your memorial creations and hope I can be of some help to others that are searching for their ancestors. Please be patient with me if I make any mistakes; if so, I'll be happy to make any corrections necessary! May God bless each and every one of you...

|Peter Henley-Gould||David Gold Memorial# 105967616|
Looking for information on the John Gold you have listed as one of David Gold's children. I am not sure but I think that is Jonathan Eli Gold, who was my grandfather's father. Do you have any other information on David and his sons?
I know that my grandfaher's family came from Scottsboro, and we use to go to a West family reunion in Scottsboro because Jonathan Eli Gold married Malinda West, in Scottsboro. My grandfather was raised by his step father Richard Ashley and is listed on the 1900 census as living with Richard & Milinda West Gold Ashley. I do know that some of the family is from Lincoln Co, TN that the three brothers that settled there in 1830 from KY, that one moved to MO, and one moved on to AL, That being Thomas Gold, David's father. Funny thing my grandfather didn't go by Gold, but by Gould, I am assuming because of Peter Holland Gould. Funny how this family keeps switching between Gold and Gould, I have noticed several including one that went to court to have it changed from Gould to Gold, because people always said Gold any way.
Mr. Sharp I also live in Huntsville AL, and can be reached viva my profile on findagrave.

Can you tell me please if James Larry Sharp (53-96) lived in California and worked for Southern California Edison Company, an electric utility? Jim was in the machine shop, and a good friend to all who knew him. When our Jim Sharp died, a monument was erected to his memory on the property at (what was then) Alamitos Generating Station in Long Beach, CA. This tribute is still there, in a little garden near the front gate. Thank you for any information. Charles Bryan

It's my pleasure to transfer your great grandfather to your care. I'm going through old funeral home records and doing my best to find memorials, create them, and link up families. I saw your name as manager of his parents, so I figured you would be most interested!
I don't do photos at Woodlawn, but there are some folks who do. I used the plot info from the funeral home record, but you'd need to double check that. Woodlawn will not give plot information to findagrave volunteers, only family. Pfffft.

First, thank you for all you do on Find a Grave and also for your service to our country. I am hoping you may be able to help me with my Sharp ancestor. My Great Great Grandmother is Eliza J Sharp. She married Hollis T. Allen. Census records list her as being born in Alabama between 1822-1824. She married Hollis T. Allen (also born in Alabama) 11 March 1839 in Lincoln, TN but they lived in Jackson, Alabama. They moved to Pike County, Arkansas between the 1850 and 1860 census.There was a fire in Washington D.C. that destroyed the Arkansas 1890 census records but there is a poll tax record for 1893 for her husband, Hollis Allen, in Murfreesboro, Pike County, Arkansas. I do not know if she was living at that time too or not. She would have died between 1880-1900 in Pike County, Arkansas. Hopefully you or others related to the Sharps may know her parents.

|Jenny Disque||Wash and Susannah Cline Morgan|
Hi Johnny. We are both descended from the Morgans. They are my 3rd great grandparents also. Last week I had to make a quick visit to Tn to visit a very sick aunt and went to the French Cemetery. If you have any information about Susannah's family I would love to know. The Morgans are well documented in Dayton. I wish we knew something concrete about them before the move there.

|Nancy Cornelius||Ewesta Duncan|
I did not find a marker with her name. The Duncan family appears to all be together, along with some of the Landers family(not sure of any connection). Her grave may be where the funeral home marker is noted, in the photo I posted. This is the only newer grave noted in the area. The paper on the marker is long gone with nothing to note who this grave belongs too.
|Nancy Cornelius||Duncan family at Poplar Springs|
Not for sure this is her stone, but all the Duncan family noted are in this area. The dob does not match but the dod year does, and this is next to her husband. If this is not right please let me know. I could not find a stone with her name.
