Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born on the west coast, raised in Oklahoma and lived on the east coast before moving back to Oklahoma. I come from a VERY large family that is literally scattered across the United States. I am a direct descendant of the Quaker, John Woolman on my mother's side and a direct descendant of a signatory of the United States Declaration Of Independence, John Witherspoon on my father's side. History is in my blood. I am one of those people who will stop at every historical marker to take a picture and read it. After all someone did something that someone else thought was important enough to take note. So who am I to not note what it was that happened?

As with all the graves they are someone that mattered to another at one time. Perhaps now all their family is gone or perhaps they got lost in time and their location has been forgotten. I choose to take the time to remember them and if lucky reunite them with a family member by adding their grave to the data bank at "Find A Grave". I enjoy helping others to find, remember and honor their families.

That is the email address, but sometimes I don't receive mail. Thank you for the directions to the cemetery. They are fantastic and I am sure I will be able to find it.

RE: Grandview Cemetery
I am so sorry. i was not thinking.
Marie Folk is buried in Grandview Cemetery in Marland.
I noticed you took a picture of Sarah Lemon's headstone last year and I was hoping you could send me the directions to the cemetery. I have tried to visit it while we were down there (I live in Kansas), but have not been successful. Are there any other headstones visible in the cemetery, or just Sarah's? I know there were only four there.

Sorry for the confusion,

Grandview Cemetery

I am doing a happy dance and I hope you can help me further. My great great grandmother, Marie Folk is buried in the cemetery. I have tried for years to find the cemetery, but have never located it. Is Sarah's the only one still standing or are there other ones crumbled? What is the directions to get to the cemetery? If I am at the Braums, how do I get there? I will be in Oklahoma to do family research and would like to visit the cemetery.

Thanks for your help.

Have you added Bernard Jr. if so you can add Bernard Sr. as his father. I pulled up the obit but was not sure where he was buried at. Will call Imogene sometime soon. Just felt like she had a lot going on right now. If no one adds Bernard Jr. I will as soon as I am sure where he is buried at. Thank you Carol Hunter Marney

RE: Roy and Nellie Saunders
You are welcome.
FYI Mary's grave is next to her parents and there is a grave for the baby of Ilah Clark (Roy & Nellie daughter?) adjacent to Mary's grave.

Tombstone pics
You do your pics the way that I like to do mine. A shot of the whole tombstone, a close up of the person's names and dates, and then anything unusaul or unnique. I think that's the way ot should be done.
