Bio and Links
I have been doing genealogy for 30 years, but in the last 10 years it has become a passion. My Grandmother was adopted and finding her family was beyond explanation. Family history has always interested me and in helping each other we can grow the possibilities.

Any of my photo's can be used without asking, for family genealogy only. If you want to state that I took the picture, that would be great.

Let me know if I can help you.

RE: Locating Wilson Cemetery
That would be wonderful! I am trying to locate Capt. Robert Wilson, Memorial # 11380919 (I think). His wife was Jane McDowell Wilson who is also buried there.
It says it is in Eagleville, but when I pull it up on the satellite map, I cannot figure out where it is.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Locating Wilson Cemetery
First of all, thank you for your contributions. I am hoping you can help me locate a cemetery in Rutherford County that you have photographed. I recently discovered that my 5X gg-parents are buried in Wilson Cemetery. This is fascinating to me as I was raised in KY and moved to Murfreesboro 12 years ago. I would love to visit their graves, but am having a hard time locating the cemetery even with the map locator.

Could you possibly help me make this connection?
Thank you for any help you can offer,
Holly Bruser

Ransom Correction
I made the correction you suggested with William and Sallie Ransom. Are you related to the Ransom family of Bedford County? If so, I would love to communicate with you.

McAdams Cemetery Photos
Jean,
Words cannot express my gratitude to you for finding this old family cemetery & taking those 3 photos!!!

I'm just so happy to have these...Elizabeth F. Tune McAdams was the youngest child of 12 of my 3rd great grandparents, William Tune & Lurana Scurlock Tune. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia, came to Bedford County circa 1833-34 with her widowed mother and some of the siblings. I feel sure her mother is also buried in this cemetery, but without a marker, or perhaps with an unmarked field stone.

From what I can tell in the background, the cemetery looks well kept. Did you by chance notice a sign or marker for the cemetery itself, as I forgot to ask for that?

One last question....also listed in Marsh's Cemetery Records of Bedford County, and at Findagrave is the Tune Cemetery at GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 35.54420, Longitude: -86.46280. On the Google map it appears to be southwest of the Bomar Field-Shelbyville Municipal Airport, just west off Midland Road between Whiteside & Burns roads. Just wondered if you'd seen this old family cemetery or heard anything about it. Many of my family were buried there. I was told some time ago that it is now on private property & that the owner plowed under the stones and uses one of the concrete foundation blocks as a boost to mount himself up on his horse. I'd really like to confirm whether that is true or not, or just a family "story". Any suggestions who I might contact?

Again, thanks so very much for all your generous time and efforts.

RE: photos in McAdams Cemetery
Jean,

Sorry you were not feeling well. No problem on those photos. It's an old family cemetery, but looks like, at least on the Google map, that it is accessible....but hard to tell if that's a road I'm seeing or perhaps something else. Anyway, it will keep.

Thanks again,
Gloria
