I am totally into family history and have received many photos of ancestors from Find A Grave volunteers.|
Wanted to give back. When traveling, I never pass a cemetery that I don't want to go in and photo. I want to thank all the volunteers for their efforts because now that I am doing it, I realize it is not usually easy. Takes a lot of time and work. Am still learning and appreciate any suggestions on my posting. Sometimes I get so busy with correspondence coming and going, I overlook thanking those who sent photo's, Please forgive me, I really do appreciate all volunteers for FAG. Just a suggestion/take an umbrella along so you can shade the stone, eleminates shadows.
When you refer a person to me, please include the Memorial #. Thanks

|Tim Batross||RE: Johnson|
You are welcome. There were more Johnson family members buried in the cemetery, their stone pictures are added to the Johnson Cemetery page in Find A Grave. I had been looking for this cemetery for awhile and finally saw it on Google Earth.com
Coordinates are 35.53072 088.90797 but it takes a trip across yards, through woods down a small dirt road and past junk vehicles to get to it.. It was fun! Tim

Hi Pauline, unfortunately I do not have a picture of the headstone of Jessie. I live in Michigan and don't get to Tenn nearly as often as I would like. Ruth

Nellie was my Great Aunt, married to my great Uncle James Earl Twiggs. Please transfer to my account.

You are welcome Pauline. I have a picture of Mary's stone but it is very degraded. I will try to get back out there this week and do a rubbing.

I didn't realize until I posted the photo that Ms. Scroggins was duplicated. A lot of them in the Hogs Branch Cemetery are, so if you go back and look at the other Ora Scroggins listed, there are more exact dates and also a death certificate. Maybe that will help you to determine if she's the one. Good luck.

Hi Pauline…..I retook the closeup of the inscription and posted another pic of the full stone. The inscription is somewhat hard to read so I'm sorry I can't get a better photo.

Hi Pauline - Do you ever consider transferring graves? If so, I'd like to take on Rosa Eliot and Lafayette Eliot. Lafayette (Bud) Eliot was my grandmother, Alma Eliot Russell's, uncle. Bud's grandparents, parents, and three brothers are all buried together in Artesia cemetery, but for some reason Bud and his wife are buried at Loma Vista, which is about two blocks from the house I grew up in. If you don't want to transfer him, can you link Bud up to his parents, James Smith Eliot (10724536) and Eliza Jane Eliot (10724527)? Thank you for doing their memorials. Lisa Russell Pflueger
