| Bio and Links | I am a member of the Normandy Association for Air remembrance 1939-1945, Orne Maine. To pass on memory is our duty to future generations. There was a huge investment in planes and lives: many Americans,British,Canadian,French,Polish... crews fell to the ground in Normandy during World War II,away from home, away from their own land. Was their memory fated to only survive in cemeteries? The Normandy Association for Air remembrance decided to pay tribute to all of the crews shot down in Normandy and Maine. As we organize the ceremonies,we are working in France and abroad to find the families of the aircrews lost over Normandy and Maine,as well as gathering testimonies of survivors and comrades or whoever had lived at that time. | |

 | Capt. William Johnson Sir, I noticed the virtual flowers left by you for Capt. Johnson #78225081. First of all, Thankyou! Capt. Johnson was the father of my very close friend, Roderick (Johnson) Lowe. I have other information on Capt. Johnson's life and service. I created the original memorial for Capt. Johnson and I regret letting Jeff Braucher talk me into transfering it to him as now he does not respond to my request for changes/additions for Capt. Johnson. My friend Rod and his wife Sandy are going to France for a memorial service on June 11 at Colonard-Corubert, France. I though you may like to know that he is still remembered. Thanks again!
