Bio Photo My Mother is the genealogist in my family and I began helping her a few years ago with the computer. It wasn't long before I "discovered" a mystery half brother of my Grandmother and I was hooked!I love find a grave and my new friends and cousins.

Joan Kobernik Hoeft
Decided to work on this some more.
Could Roscoe's name be Dick? I found a Dick McCully with the same year birth & death. I am going to check a McCully temp marker. I couldn't make out the first name but I'll see if it is more clear today.

Roscoe & Eva McCulley or McCully
I was unable to find them in my records. If you would call Terrace Heights at (509) 453-1961 and get the location numbers I would be happy to help you. They prefer a relative or friend call.

Sarah Sally Drollinger Bailey
This is where I got the information that Sarah never learned to speak 'English'... Don't know about reading? Maybe impossible to read if you can't 'speak' the English language...

'Oregon Statesman', April 22, 1894 obituary for John Bailey - Extensive Bio: in 'Oregon Statesman', April 2, 1893, page 3.

Again in the year 1864, (The first time they came was 1852) George Washington Bailey, with his wife and four children and his 'Father and Mother' crossed the plains from 'Iowa' to 'Oregon'. George and Talitha resided there until they passed away as did John Henry 'Bill' and Sarah 'Sally' Drollinger Bailey, George's parents.....

John Henry Bailey, his wife, Sarah 'Sally' Drollinger Bailey and 5 out of 8 of their children moved to Oregon. He was 70 years old at that time.

The Bailey family had orginally come from North Carolina. They were 'Dutch'. Mrs. Bailey had never learned to speak English.

John Henry Bailey was living with his daughter, Nancy J. Stevens in the "1880" Census for Sumner, Coos Co., OR. He was 85 years old. A story written about "Gilbert and Catherine Epperson, Pioneers' says he lived to be 104 years old!! There is a copy of this story at the Sandy, Oregon Historical Museum.

Jennie McDade
Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request and just wanted you to know that there are two other McDades in the same plot, in the row just above Jennie: Jeannette and Louis. I have added photos to their memorials. They must be related.

Best regards,
