Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am writing the first book from the American point of view about 19th century rotunda panoramas. These were the biggest paintings in the world,50 x 400=20,000 square feet, housed in their own rotundas which were 16-sided polygons.Chicago in 1893 had 6 panorama companies and 6 panorama rotundas. My research is based on the life of my great aunt, Mathilde Georgine Schley (1864-1941), who was a dress maker, American Impressionist artist, was photographed inside William Wehner's panorama studio in downtown Milwaukee, was an essayist for the German-American press between the world wars, wrote DEUTSCHAMERIKA (1935) and FRITZ,PAT,JULES & HANK (1940)and helped Rev.Wilhelm Iwan (1871-1958)research Die altlutherische Auswaunderung um die Mitte des 19.Jahrhunderts (Breslau 1943).

RE: Gottleib Seidel born 1811
The Gottleib Seidel in my tree was in the 1850 census enumerated in Milwaukee. His wife survived past 1900 and her census information indicates they migrated about 1849.

There is another Gottleib Seidel in the 1855 Wisconsin census for Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, WI

Given the 1850 census, and the 1900 census which gives their immigration year, the Gottleib Seidel who lived out his life in Rock Island IL, seems to not fit your information

Sorry, I am not any relation to her.

If you would like to take over her memorial, just send me a link to it and I'll be happy to transfer it to you.

RE: Maude Chamberlain Niven
Are you referring to Memorial 154031252? If so that would mean she passed away one year after her wedding. I was not sure if that is a D or C initial on the headstone. I got the death date from the Calif Death Index. Using D as the initial.

RE: Edith DICKSON Carroll-correction
Hi, I don't see that I have an Edith Dickson Carroll in my tree. Do you think she should be? Patti
