What got me started was while growing up, my Papa Orrick said he was kin to every one we came around. He could tell how we were related. I thought it was just him being old. Guess What?? While my children were growing I got into genealogy. Low and behold Papa was right, I now know what he was telling me was true.|
My grandma Williamson live to be 93, good mind and knew all about our Williamson & Emery families. I remember some things she told me but wish I had ask more questions. (This all took place while I was still at home in school, to young to be interest).
So never forget our love ones, or where we came from. My main lines are Williamson and Orrick. I have fell in love with Find A Grave. It's a great way to find our families.
Unity, Whitlock and Centertown Cemeteries in TN., are my main cemeteries. To find obituaries on your family and to link them together is like finding a gold mine. I enjoy putting the obituaries on line with "all" the info that I can get on them. I hope by doing this it will help every one find their families that lived before them.
Be glad to help anyone if I have your family.

I actually saw The Smithson's book at the library in Woodbury as well. Peggy showed it to me.
I was trying to send Jerry Smithson some pictures of family members on our Smith side but they aren't interested in people they didn't know. Jerry owns Lucy Caroline Orrick Smith's farm now. He tore her house down. South of that farm was the Muncy family, Lucy Orrick's maternal side of the family. That land is now owned by the Powell family. Across the road from the Muncy farm is a farm my dad owned. The outhouse he built is still standing.
Hope you are doing okay.
Thank you for adding Truman.
How are things in your world...

I finally deleted Cecil. I actually have a 1st cousin, Jerry Smithson, whose parents are buried in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Just wondering if you know him?
Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks for transferring Myrtle to me. And thanks for all the wonderful pictures you've added. If you hadn't added the picture of Myrtle's headstone we would never have known where she is buried. I, too, add obituaries whenever I can because they contain valuable genealogocal information. We used to go down to Warren County when I was a kid to visit with daddy's relatives, who lived in the Grange Hall/Pleasant Hill area. I loved it.

I had sent you an email. Yeah I don't recognize those names. I'll keep them. Never know might come across them through my family research. :)
