Henry Cowell in New River Cemetery
One more thing...
I have a photo that may be Henry Cowell's headstone. It is in the same plot as the others, but it is so badly aged and damaged that it's unreadable so I didn't want to load it on his page. Let me know if you want it. (Email me: and I will send it to you to decide.

RE: Annie Cowell
Hello Renae,
You are VERY welcome! I'm happy to help reunite families.
Did you notice on the photos that Annie is actually Annie McDonald? This particular family lot is Cowell and McDonald combined. One of the families must have married into the other family. The side of the headstone that says Annie and gives her information faces South. The side of the headstone that faces West says Infant children of Donald & Mary McDonald. The name on the North side of the headstone is Isabella (McDonald). I have notified the originator of the Annie Cowell memorial page to change her last name.

RE: Christ Ostrom photo request
Anytime. With the whole family-I just couldn't help but click away. Happy hunting through through the census records to find a match.

Christ Ostrom photo request
While in the cemetery, I grabbed pics of all the Ostroms in Clear Lake should they be something you're interested in also. Enjoy! Christ was on the opposite end of the cemetery while the rest were all grouped together.

RE: Samuel Roach
I did check the plot for a gravestone foundation, because even if the gravestone has disingrated the foundation will be two or three inches below the ground level but there were none. I also checked to if there any trace of a Sornhamy Roach anywhere in the local area, but nothing turned up. Samuel and Alice are the only people buried in lot 92, which leaves three spaces unoccupied. It would be interesting to find out who owns the deed to the other three spaces????

Please let me know if I can help with anything else on this site.

RE: Mindermann Headstones
No. Even when I enlarge it and use the magnifying glass, I can't make it out. They were buried in the ground and we had to dig them out so we were lucky to get the names and dates.
