RE: Gazelle Rohde
Thank you so much for the kind message you left me. It gives me great joy to hear that something I have done has helped someone else.
It is people like you that give me the motivation to continue working on genealogy.

St. Olaf Cemetery
My husband and I are responsible for making a St. Olaf Cemetery map. We photographed all the gravestones and are currently adding these to FindaGrave. We discovered that FindaGrave has two listings for St. Olaf Cemetery. One is listed in Watonwan County (wrong) and one is listed in Martin County (correct). The wrong one only has about 24 memorials, so we are respectfully asking people who have added memorials to the wrong one to either delete their memorial or transfer it to "Saint Olaf Cemetery, Cedar Township, Martin County, MN." Thanks for your cooperation. Once we get everyone to delete or transfer memorials, we will have FindaGrave delete the wrong cemetery to eliminate confusion.

The memorial you added to the "wrong" cemetery:
Henry Webster Hansen #101752876

Thanks for your help!

Aaron Van Atta
Hi again David,
I didn't know any of that! Thank you for filling me in on Aaron Van Atta and his accomplishments. I find everything about the family endlessly fascinating - but know what you mean about how so many people could care less!
I don't get it!
Thank you again for sharing and hope you have a blessed Easter,
Chloe

Gretchen VanAtta Murphy
Hi David,
To my great regret, I didn't find Gretchen in time to meet her personally... but she was a cousin of ours, granddaughter of Erda VonSien Minske. (Erda was my father's aunt.)
My Dad was born the same year as Gretchen, they played together as children and he remembers her fondly. I've seen pictures of her. She was a beautiful little girl. I will try to find a photo to post. :-) He will be interested to hear about the Mayflower connection!
Are you related on the Van Atta side?
Thank you for writing,
Chloe Perdew
P.S. - Are you planning on posting a note on their memorials regarding the Mayflower connection?

RE: brown
Thank you. I have had a hard time finding her. The obit I had found in Iowa with the Mrs. T.H. Smith mentioned in it was my big clue so I held on to it hoping someday to find her. We all did it and you were the biggest help. It is fun when these things happen. Now I want to go back and recheck the cemetery to see what else I have missed. We even went by a farmer's home. (Twice). They had the records for the cemetery. We went through the records but didn't find anything but of course I did not know what to look for. (Brown)
The records did not show Sarah Elizabeth Smith but we did find her headstone. And we walked the entire cemetery looking at the names on the headstones. Records are not that accurate it seems.
So see this was important to me so again thank you. Linda
