RE: Isaac Wheeler
Okay---thanks for the clarification. It was really not so uncommon in those days for a man's widow to marry his brother. I can well believe was the case there. If you find out anything more about Isaac's or John's parents in the future, I hope you will let me know so that I can add the info to their memorials.

RE: Isaac Wheeler
I'm sorry---I see I pasted in the wrong URL.
The family trees are here:

I sent you a reply on Friday concerning John Wheeler, but I see it never reached you. So I will reiterate. Yes, I saw that marriage cert for John and Rachael Reynolds, which lists their parents. I see no reason to doubt that the parents' names are not basically correct. Are you saying that John and Isaac Wheeler (1813-1892) are brothers, and that they were both married to Rachael? I really don't think John's headstone is a replacement. It looks perfectly right to be a 1904-type headstone. It has always amazed me how often the dates are slightly off on headstones, even fairly recent ones. I do not know who holds the records for Evergreen Cemetery, but I would try contacting the Pierpont trustees.I have no idea what phone number you would need for that, but I see a non-emergency phone number for the Pierpont Fire Hall. Perhaps if you called there, someone could tell you who to contact. The number is 440-577-1190. There are a large number of Wheelers in the area, on both sides of the state line. I really don't know how John fits into the picture, but I would think there could be more descendants of his in the area. Could you please tell me the name of his first wife? I would like to add it to my records. Hope some of this helps.

RE: Isaac Wheeler
There are several family trees on line, all with this same info (which doesn't necessarily mean it's correct, I know).

Who do you have as his parents?

RE: John H Wheeler
No, I am sorry, I have nothing but his name and dates. I photographed and documented as best I could the whole cemetery some years ago, so that is why I have any entry for him. If you can supply any further data, I would be happy to add it to his memorial.
