|Barbara Peck Ester||J D lane 45635515|
I have been looking at my files and I cannot find a J D Lane in my tree.
My kids had some uncles named Lane in SW Missouri, bur I can't find a John married to Bessie.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Can you give me more information on John D Lane? Memorial number and date of birth. Right now I can't place him.
Have a great day, Barbara
|Tricia||RE: James Frank Benton|
James Franklin Benton was my Grandmothers's Great Grandfather. Along with other's over the years, there has not been a strong line to research past James F. Benton. Fannin County, Texas is where they settled, from Tennessee. He is my 3rd Great Grandfather and I love the history and stories that I have researched on my Grandmother's side of the family. She was born a Benton. They have a long line of good people, who contributed to the world for the good. Here is a link to the Fannin County web site. http://www.txfannin.org/booksonline.php?book=Folk&type_ID=Photos&page_ID=108
The Benton's are in the history books there. Edmond H. Benton, founder of Bentonville,Texas; later renamed Edhube, Texas, was my GG Grandfather. I met a couple who took the challenge to go find the resting places of my GGG Grandfather James F. Benton and that is why the pictures of his resting place exists. The land he owned is now a forest and owned by the Texas Power Company. I hope this helps some, I wish I knew more. I do have his father listed as Jeremiah Benton (1751-1819)
Let me know if I can help in any way.
