Hoping you can shed some light
Your grandmother, Mary Emily (Rodgers) Bright had a sister, Nettie Nadine (Rodgers) Dull. Nettie married John Henry Dull, Jr. John's father was John Henry Dull, Sr. Do you know who John Henry Dull, Sr.'s father was? I am trying to see if I am related.
I would appreciate any help.

Frank contacted me in case I could help as I'm living in Leipzig. Though I have to admit I can't remember reading the name Kirmse ever. Further bad news. We've had a cemetery that existed from 1846 until 1950 where about 141.000 people were buried. Of this cemetery only a couple dozen stones survived and I do not have access to any records. The good news is that we have a few dozen cemeteries more and I can keep my eyes open when go for a walk the next time.
Sorry for not being of more help.

RE: Kirmse
You are correct. Most KIRMSE still live in Berlin, in and around Leipzig, and a few in Hamburg, about 1900 persons currently with that name.
Here is an interactive map, move the cursor over the counties and the name shows up:

Check here for a current list:
and here:

Good luck. PS: I am not a Kirmse.
