I graduated from Frostburg State University and I'm in my 20's, with an interest in genealogy. I have spent summers and any breaks in researching my family that others have forgotten. I attempt to bring to light who that individual was, where their resting place is and to help others in search of their family. Genealogy can be very time consuming but to know where you came from and what our ancestors went through, to get us where we are today is priceless.

Hi Brendan, thanks for the message and that would be very helpful if you could send me the obituary for David Wilson Smith. Thank you.

RE: John and Mary Farrell
Hi Brendan,
You are welcome. They were on the other side as I predicted.
I found some more Farrell names there and will be loading those as I get time. Family of Matthew (d. 1907) and his wife Julia, (d. 1920) and another Matthew, (d. 1905) .
Also Eliza Ryan Farrell (d. 1962) and Margaret Farrell Flynn, d. 1982.
Also John Farrell, d. 1870, from Co. Meath.

RE: Farrell Family New Cathedral
Hi Brendan, yes, John, Mary, Mollie, and Annie are all in that plot (T-115). I assume that John and Mary's names are on the other side, as there is no name 'Farrell' on that (reverse) side of the marker.
That one will be easy to find.

RE: Farrell Family New Cathedral
Brendan, see Memorial# 82447510, it has the reverse side of John Farrell's monument with, I believe, two of his daughters' names on that side. John, Mary, Mollie, and Annie V. are in the same plot (TT-115).

RE: Farrell Family New Cathedral
HI Brendan,
I didn't see John and Mary Farrell (the cemetery is huge). Please put in photo requests for them and I'll see about getting them the next time I'm there.

Please check your 'Edits' tab on your profile page, and check/approve the edits I sent (you don't get notifications of pending edits).

You are welcome for the photos. My wife has Farrell's in her family in New York. I know all the descendants so it is unlikely you are related. See Memorial# 84385611.

RE: Farrell/Flaherty

Louis Michael Flaherty is my great-uncle. Ella Farrell was his second wife and and they had 4 children

Mary Elizabeth (1888-1992) married James Lynch (1898-1967)

Louis N 1890-1905

Helen M (1891-1977) married William J Dressel (1891-?)

Robert John (1898-1972)

In 1927 Louis visited Hamilton Canada with his daughter Mary and her husband Jim Lynch their son James Jr, and Frederick Martin, the son of Ella's sister Agnes and George Martin. The picture comes from that visit . Ella had died the previous year.

I believe this to be accurate but second and 3rd sources are always welcome/

RE: Isacc Winebrenner 100812798
My username is PU1987. Send me a message and I will invite you to my tree. It is a private tree. I have an entry on Hannah Musgrove's profile that I found online about her Being a Musgrove and not Humbertson. It may be correct as I ended up having a DNA shared ancestor with Hannah's grandfather John Thomas Musgrove, but that does not make it definitive. The book The American Family Musgrove is a wonderful source of family history. On page 194 there is a Hannah Musgrave b circa 1775 in South Carolina who married an unknown Winebrenner. The 1850 census I have for Hannah Winebrenner indicates she was born in South Carolina with the correct birth year. So perhaps her being a Musgrave is correct. The book can be found on Just search for a book and use the term Musgrove. Hope to hear from you. Also, I have several Catherine Winebrenners on my tree. You are probably interested in the one who is Morris' daughter. She is the sister of my 3rd great grandfather Isaac Winebrenner.

RE: Rose Hill

Hi Brendan,

Yes Anna Eliza Smith has a marker but I don't have a very good photo of it. She is buried in Section 3, it is a small section and you should probably have no trouble finding it. I'll send you my photo and you can use it for reference. I'd don't think it is worthy to post.

There is a map attached to the Rose Hill Find A Grave page also that you can use.

Best regards, John
