Marie and I have been researching our families history since 2005. My Father's family (Newell and Stone) are from West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York and my Mother's family (White and Baker) are from Ireland, England and New York. My wife's Father's family (Cook and Waters) are from New England and Hartwick, New York and her Mother's family (Telfer and Lewis) are from Scotland and Burlington, New York.
While conducting our research on Marie's family we discovered that her ancestors were early settlers and prominent residents in Hartwick, Otsego, New York. She is also a descendent of Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island at Providence.
Our cemetery research is centered around Otsego County in upstate New York.
If anyone has any information regarding these families please feel free to contact us. We will also gladly share any information that we have.
Please feel free to use any photos or info that we have posted on FAG.

 | RE: Powney photos Of course....please use them, I took them for you. I also took photos of the entire Powney area. The daughter's marker is at the foot of the parents. Someone must live in this locale as the area surrounding both markers is cleared for flowers and there were violets beginning to bud. Very nicely done. I also took a placement photo for you in case you ever visit in person, you will be able to locate the tombstones. | | | irishdancer
