RE: Brock
Thanks Bill! I am stumped, so anything would be good. I know a lady, Ruth, who knows the Macon Cem pretty good, maybe she may be of some help too. She was at an auction yesterday in Macon and got her hands on a Macon co History Book, the 1987 Sesq Book. I am so excited to own one !!!! Yeahhh!

I have a question that I hope you have an answer to! William Riley Brock and Rebecca Ann Gentry (1st wife) where are they buried at??? I am recensusing Mt Salem cem, have about 380ish to enter that are not listed and I am only on the Brocks so far! CANNOT list a name without trying to link or create family, so am doing alot of research on these folks. A have about 17 Brock names to create memorials on in just Mt Salem... HELP!!

RE: Prudie Rose Wilson Brook
Bill, I have been working on this since I got home. There must be 2 Meriwether Brook's. I have been researching this line and his first wife was Sarah J. and of course, the second wife was Prudence Rose Wilson/Brook. I didn't find one with a wife named Georgia.

The next time that you are in Missour, you will be pleased to know that the family across from Coulter Cemetery are starting to REALLY clean it up, looks really good. The newest one they uncovered was James Rose

McCanne Burying Ground
Hi Bill,
I wanted to let you know that I finally finished adding memorials to this cemetery. I found an undated, partial listing, and your Brocks are indeed buried there. Once you have a chance to look them all over and move your memorials there, I will delete any duplicates. I will also be glad to transfer any or all to you if you think that would be easier. I live about 80 miles away, but hope to have a chance to get up there before or after hunting season and probe around until I'm satisfied all the stones there have been photographed. No one that I know of in either Macon or Randolph counties has a complete listing, and I think it would help to clear up the confusion. I'll wait to hear from you before doing anything else.

Brocks in Colter Cemetery
Hi Bill,
I received your photo requests for the Brocks and wanted to pass what I know along. The cemetery pictured on the Colter Cemetery page is actually the Coulter-Wright Cemetery. I have photographed all the stones there and added all to findagrave under that name. I didn't find any Brock stones at all there. I believe your Brocks are buried in a cemetery right across the Randolph/Macon County line, but actually in Macon Co. It is on findagrave as the McCanne Burying Ground in Macon County, MO, but is missing a lot of known burials there. There are quite a few Coulters buried there, and is known locally as the McCanne-Coulter Cemetery, which is what causes a lot of confusion with the Coulter-Wright Cemetery. The McCanne Cem is in the woods and very overgrown, so I am waiting til winter to try to find it. I might be able to find an old listing of this cemetery and check to see if the Brocks are listed if you would like me to. Just let me know.
