Bio and Links
Bio Photo I inherited an interest in genealogy from my mother, who researched her family and my father's family in the 1970s and 80s. A family trip to eastern Kentucky in Summer 2011 led me to Find a Grave. I have enjoyed taking volunteer photos and learning more about the history of Centre County, PA. I mainly visit cemeteries in southern Centre County and part of Huntington County. I am willing to check cemetery records if you have a request (almost all of the Centre County cemeteries are indexed). You may use any pictures I have taken for your genealogy research.

RE: Hi
Hi Carla,

I'm about a half hour west of Asheville. We do get snow, but it doesn't last long once the sun comes up. Just enough to make everything white for a while. Meanwhile, Duluth got 51 inches of snow just in April this year, so I can't complain too much.

Tschüs,
Dan

Alexander Farm photos
Hi Carla,

I realized that I had photos from last August that I had not posted, waiting to get more info from the CCGS books. I see today where you have created memorials for a lot of what I have. Great job on this, and on the initial description of condition of cemetery, and directions on how to find it :-)

I uploaded about a dozen photos; I can send a list if you want - I see some memorials indicate that footstones were located by CCGS folks at one time, which I missed. Might need another trip out there some day.

RE: Another thank you
At the older cemetery at Glandorf (st John's Pioneer) the tombstones where used to make a shrine. Before that the cemetery was in disrepair and some stones may have disappeared. Records are incomplete. that cem and St. Peter and Paul are only about 2 miles apart.

5-13-2013 Thanks for the photo of this marker, found in Old Pine Grove Cemetary, Centre Co, PA. I have seen this one before. I was hoping someone would actually go there and see what it says: I cannot tell what the death date is from the photo. Any chance this can be done?

Thank you,
Barbara Heston-Moore

Virginia V. Sample
Hi Carla-

Nice photos of Alex, Margaret, Orlando and Virginia Sample's monuments. Virginia was the 6th of 8 children. Please go ahead and link her to her parents.

It looks like she was 1 year 111 months and 12 days. Is that what you think it says?

Regards,
-Wayne

RE: Alexander Sample - wrong cemetery
Hi Carla-

Thanks for your message. I moved Alexander and his wife Margret Furey Sample to Old Pine Grove.

Thanks in advance for the picture of Alexander's gravestone. Did you see Margaret's gravestone?

Mary Gray
Hi,

I have added the extra information to Mary's memorial, and it would be safe to delete your memorial for her.

Thanks for letting me know.
Thank you for adding her tombstone photo

# 76666024 by Carla Hass

Both have some information not present in the other.
Could both of you coordinate and and consolidate into
one memorial ?

Attempting to send to both parties.
Thanks.
