You're quite welcome. It gives me (and the wife, of course) a great deal of satisfaction in helping someone if we can.

Be well ... and ENJOY YOUR LIFE!

Cyrus Sanderson
Thank you for taking the time to photograph the grave marker of Cyrus M Sanders(on) and for uploading it to That is the correct stone. Private Cyrus M Sanderson was from Vermont and died in Spottsylvania, Virginia on 10 May 1864, according to the U. S. Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865. I appreciated your efforst. My only explanatation is that, whoever made the marker, decided it would be ok to abbreviate the last name.

RE: Seavey Marker
You are welcome! I knew them both growing up. My parents are in the same cemetery.

Elizabeth (Jones) Bodge
Hi Greg,

I am about to fulfil your request for Elizabeth (Jones) Bodge. There is a footstone that bears her name, but it does not show up in bright sunlight. I will return on a cloudy day in hopes that her name can show.

Elizabeth & her husband Clinton appear on a Jones family monument. Included on the same side is Amos H (Jones? or Bodge?) (1834-1861). Included on the front side are Charles (1825-1889), his wife Emily (1831-1896), and Horace (1859-1883).

Let me know if you will be requesting their photos.

RE: Bodges in Smith Cemetery

Don't give up. A listing of all the burials in Smith Cemetery includes them. I will check with the cemetery office when it opens again on Tuesday (or Wednesday, if my schedule allows.)

Bodges in Smith Cemetery

Went to Smith Cemetery today, but could not find their marker(s). It is clear that they are buried there. I will try to get a fix next week by contacting the cemetery office.
