Hi Rodney, I am the person who sent you the photo of William as a child in the Sailor suit. We now know who William Sutton's parents are. I have linked them. The bio says that his parents are unknown to us and now that just needs to be deleted.

That is so very sad. He was the son of my Great Grandmother Carlottia Seeley's sister Denzia Seeley. Thanks so much for your information. Do you have any pictures?

I am sure I spelled his name incorrectly. Would you happen to know the cause of death for the Phillip Jr. He died at 15. I know his brother William was lost at sea. He is a relative.

|Vietnam Disabled Veteran||Francis Coates - Flint, Mi|
Francis Coates was my uncle. He died from scralet fever. He had one brother, Richard, two sister's, Grace and Teresa. Francis's father, Edwin F. Coates and mother, Grace are buried in Punta Gorda, Florida. Francis's grandfather was cemetery sexton in a couple of Flint's cemeteries. If you get a chance, I sure would like a picture and post. Thank you.

Taking the photo was my pleasure, RodneyF.
I'll tell you what I learned recently about the Old Cathedral Cemetery. When I went there several years ago, this was one of the friendlier and more open of the Catholic Cemeteries, and I got much great information about my ancestors there. I went back last week in search of more ancestors who turned up there, only to find that the office was closed. A phone number to call and a cemetery map were left in the window.
I called, and the woman who answered directed me to this form to print, fill out, and mail. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia now charges $20 per name for genealogy research requests at Old Cathedral Cemetery. That is why the photo requests there have long gone unfulfilled.
I was able to find the Circular Lot on Section J with little trouble, given the map in the window, but other requests will not be so easy to fulfill without shelling out some $$$$ to the Archdiocese. They gotta do what they gotta do, I guess, but that's the state of things at Old Cathedral Cemetery.
I'm glad you enjoyed the photo. I do digital photo restorations, so check out my website if you are in need of that service. I also do other Philadelphia area research requests, so drop me a line if you have any puzzlers.
