awesome news Ann--and I hadn't forgotten you re: the orb pics - I've been terribly sick with sinus infection/cold/ear ache & flu (got it all in one big lot!) since Nov 20th and FINALLY getting to feel a little better - I'm President of our local pet shelter and have been filling in all my (feeling good) free time doing our annual xmas letter - will definitely make contact with the family - how in the world did you get all this info? I did talk with a friend of mine that owns the local funeral home and discussed where to find the records. I'm not sure if our library will have anything but I'll definitely check it out - we live in a town of 10,000 so "everyone knows everyone", etc. I actually have 4 pics from the prison cemetary - the first being my "doughboy", 1 is a huge orb with a large white light shooting out of the ground, 1 is another bright white "orb" or I think more of a "light" and the other a friend of mine caught a HUGE mist coming out of one of the headstones. It's a small cemetary surrounded by barbed wire (go figure). We've caught hundreds of orbs in public cemetaries, but only strange activities at the prison. Send me your email address and I'll send you the pictures. Our prison is the oldest pen west of the Mississippi River (built in mid 1800's). The State is in the process of building a new one outside of town, to be done late next year. At that time, the old one will stand empty - it's an awesome old unit. Administrators said they have already been contacted by some paranormal groups (didn't state who) about future investigations when empty. I live a block from it, and have a huge apartment upstairs, so they can stay at my house (with the understanding I get to go with!....) thanks for the info! Dana | | | CURIOUS DANA

Ann, when looking through this site I see your name in a majority of stones as contributor. I have had numerous paranormal encounters here, the first being with Chas H Pratt, taking a picture of a very abnormal "orb" coming out of his headstone. I am trying to find archival info on the prisoners buried here. Although most info indicates majority were buried in a common gravesite, only about 30 actually were - the rest of the guys are buried individual as the stones indicate. It is no longer used of course. I live 2 blocks from the State Pen and a group of us have visited this cemetary about 3 times now, each time catching abnormal activity for a cemetary - I've exhausted my search for the prison archives from 1850-1960 and although I personally know quite a few staff members, no one knows where to look - do you have any other information? appreciate it Dana | | |
