I have been researching since 1992. Geraldine McKinnie Weir (1932-2002), my father's cousin, taught me so much about genealogy. I really miss my dear cousin and friend Geraldine. In 1994, Geraldine helped me become a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. I now have 13 DAR ancestors, and I established two of the ancestors. My DAR ancestors are John Cole, Jesse Cook, John Garrard, William Barron, John Barron, 2nd Lt. Miles Gathright, Ensign Walter Poole, Major Croom, Zadock Bussey, George Bussey, Josiah Norris, James Patrick and Captain James Green.|
In 1993, Geraldine found our Mayflower ancestors Stephen Hopkins and Giles Hopkins. Stephen Hopkins was a Signer of the Mayflower Compact. Stephen Hopkins was also to Jamestown, Virginia before his voyage on the Mayflower in 1620. On the voyage to Jamestown, he was shipwrecked in Bermuda with John Rolfe. In 1999, I became a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. I also joined the Jamestowne Society. I am a member of nine lineage societies. My ancestor for United States Daughters of 1812 is James Norris. Lt. William Smithson is my ancestor for Dames of the Court of Honor. I am also a member of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of the American Colonists, CSDIW and Pioneers of Arkansas.
I am also very interested in German genealogy. I have ordered a lot of microfilms of actual church records at the Family History Center. The Germans kept great records. I have all of my German families back to the 1600's and 1700's with some of the lines going back to the 1400's and 1500's.
I am on FIND A GRAVE because I want to help others with their research. I also want to link my ancestors with their children.

I recently took some pics of graves in the Siloam Springs Cem. in Jackson Parish, LA and found a small child's grave (Veola or Viola Wiltcher 44459333). The headstone said she was the dau. of H.J. Wiltcher. Since there were no other Wiltchers in the cemetery I did a search of Louisiana and found your Henry Jack Wiltcher. Was wondering if you had any info that would tie Veola to him.
Thanks for your help.

I, too, am in DAR and I am trying to help another lady join. She needs info on Schuyler C. Johnson, b. 1864 in Dearborn, IN and died after 1912 when his wife, Ann Eliza died. Have you found anything on that yet?

thanks for ur message. would u tell me what pics I sent u.? I have sent quite a few lately & can't remember the ones I sent U.
|Allen Helderman||RE: Green Cemetery|
I did take more pix in Green Cemetery. I will try to get them added when I get time. I can go back to the cemetery if needed. The best time to visit is in early spring before the grass and weeds start to grow. This cemetery does not get mowed regularly.

Okay, got it.
Anyway, thanks for reminding me to add her middle name. While I was at it, I added her nickname, too.
