Thank you for the picture of their headstones! By chance did you notice if there was an inscription on the reverse of the family stone? Since there were only names on the markers, there might have been dates etc. on the family stone?

Zilpha Washburn Adams
Thank you for your effort to find Zilpha. She has certainly been elusive. For three generations now her descendants have been trying to put together a paper trail between her and some of her children, and I have spent years doing the same. I have even done a migrational study showing family members living together as they traveled to New York and Michigan which I will publish at some point. In my research in Somers and Stafford I have found a number of Adams that are missing. It suggests there is an unknown family plot somewhere. On the other hand Joel is a known burial. Zilpha's mother, and a couple daughters are missing, along with many prominent older Adams. I too have looked at the hale collection, the Farber collection, and more. In Canterbury there are at least twenty missing Adams. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the great effort and coordinating it with the Hale List. This has helped answer several questions with the marginal information I could find.

THANK YOU!

Always, Donna Newton-Meridieth

RE: Thank you!
Again I appreciate everything you have done. They had at least 11 children, one of whom, Alonzo Newton Taylor, was my father's great grandfather, who is buried in Indianapolis. Another, Myron Dewight Taylor served and died in the Civil war, but I can't find his grave, nor the other children who did not die young.

But if we all keep at it hopefully we'll have a nice 'trail' for posterity.

NOW, if I could only find Lewis's father, William. Lewis is my brick wall.

You do good things!

Thank you!
Thank you so very much for the photo of Lewis Taylor's grave stone. Perhaps it was not added at the time of some of the other family members because the stone is broken. I'm so happy to have it for my records of my father's family. It has been a long slog to find this long lost relative and appreciate your efforts.

Job well done!!
