Bio

I was born in Virginia but am a Texan by the grace of God. Currently, I call Tennessee home and I was introduced to Genealogy when I was about 13 years old. Its been a passion for almost 30 years. Fortune has granted me time in Tennessee where my ancestors came from to help document their lives.

I want to thank all of the folks who have sent change requests. I will endeavor to accomodate all requests that are possible but it has brought to light a few things that I ask you to keep in mind. F.A.G. has been relied upon for historical data for reproving such things as SAR and DAR documentation. As such it is now imperative that we, as users, do our utmost to not post incorrect entries. So, when you send me a "make this change" you should also send me a means to contact you to verify the accuracy of your request and or links to data sources where I can do my due diligence to verify that your information is a true fact. When faced with an unsubstantiated fact I would be willing to place a note in the bio and point to you as the source of unverified information, thus allowing for the information to be viewed and searchable for future persons.

Another point is timeliness. Please be patient as I have a life outside of geneaology and I tend to work on areas of the family history as I can carve out time. As such please bear with me if it takes months to make the final change. The best method to ensure a speedy change request is to comply with the above and establish communication where by we can exchange documents that prove the change request. Those will always get a priority as it will take me less time to do the research on my own. Of course it goes without saying that you the submitter would then be sourced properly for your contribution to my research. Thank you.

Update: 2013-2014 I have spent the last year taking care of one of my 7 year old boys who is fighting pediatric brain cancer, so far he is blessed with being cancer free (Real World Priorities). Now that he is N.E.D. I have had some time to dig through paperwork. I have been linking up the several dozen new memorials with the family links I have on record. Check and see if yours has already been done. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, however DO NOT simply say "Can you make this change please, second req, third req, etc" especially if you don't help me to verify your information. I will ignore it.
