The stone is hard to read.acording to the Historical archives the transcription the Robert Wells' stone taken down in 1939 read

We miss thee from our home, dear Father,
We miss thee from thy place,
A shadow O're our life is cast.
We miss the sunshine of thy face.

I tried to read the inscription on the stone but some of the words were hard to make out. The Historical Society here has a file on the cemtery. In it is a file where the WPA in 1939 has transcribed the stones. There is no filing system to it though, so you have to go name by name. I will try to find it in there. Won't be able to get there till Friday.

|Bob Smith||Headstone Photos - Stanton|
Wanted to say thank you for the headstone photos that you posted for my 2nd great-grandaunt Jeannett (Robinson) Stanton, her husband, Samuel and their son, Samuel Stanton that are buried in the Bolton Cemetery.
|Ken Smith||Starling Waters|
The message I received regarding the photo of Starling's grave led me to the site of the Starling who was born in 1757. I just found the photo you posted of the grave of a later Starling. Sorry for the confusion.

Jacqueline, I recently received a message that you had taken and posted a photo of Starling's grave. However, when I went to his Find-A-Grave site, there is no photo.
|Kimberly ||Wells - Delaware|
Hello - I received your requests for photos. I believe the cemetery you have your Wells listed is the same as Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery (701 Delaware Ave., Wilmington, DE). Could you please call the cemetery (302-652-5770) and get a section listing for each person you requested? This is a huge cemetery and it would be easier to have that. Thanks and I'll try to get photos for you, but I'm not going to "claim" in case I don't make it out there before someone else. Kimberly
