sandstone cemtery
Hi, I took photos of this cemetery in 2006, I will check my disc. I am pretty sure I have Gideon & Elizabeth.

RE: Lowell Headstones
Hi Juanita,
This teeny, tiny cemetery had many of its stones in really bad shape way before the "tornado" came through. I think the name "Sandstone" cemetery was indicative of the type of materials used for the markers. I went out in the late winter to shoot some memorials for another, and many of the stones were broken into numerous pieces, laying flat and partially buried in the earth, or had entire sections missing.

From what I saw yesterday, I will wager that the reason you have the one dimensional picture of your markers is that they were laying down, and partially buried in the dirt (and since they were photographed many years ago, I'll bet they are either totally covered in earth, or have been removed due to damage.
