Molly, I've linked Allie to Belle. I did a FindaGrave search for George Presley Newman in Tallahatchie, Grenada, Yalobusha and Panola. He's not listed in those counties. It could be his marker was missed. There are a lot of miistakes in the book I have.The only thing I know is for someone to go to Bethel Cemetery and search for him.
Maybe you'd better delete some of my messages. They're filling up your page.

I did not check the 1820 Greene Co. GA. census records for a date of William's birth. The headstone picture looks like 1813.

I looked in the cemetery book and there is only a Tuff Martin. But Linda W. took the photo for Tutt Martin. I can understand how Helen and Nick made the mistake in their names, but not the death date. Tuff Martin's death date is 5-20-1895.
Anyway I'm deleting the Tuff Martin.
