hey jeffery good to make the contact. i am also on facebook or u can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org i have been putting together a family tree over the past few years but i dont think i have much info on joseph's brother. i am just starting to re research the family now, would love any info you can provide. i only have a few pics of joseph and anna haas and some of my great grandma vilus haas hanson. i know there are alot more haas's in the throrp-chippewa area but i dont really knwo them. i know my uncle jim haas is still alive with a big family over there. i have found out that casper haas's parents were john haas and catherine helera(heller?) and brigita's parent were simon geitner and cathrina lang. i have some pic posted in a group i just made on facebook for that side of the family.

I asked my mom if she had any photos with your grandparents in them and she said she didn't. Back then they didn't carry a camera everywhere they went (like we do today in our cell phone. I know I don't have any because I was just a kid but if I ever run across any...maybe from other relatives...I'll let you know.

My father, Dean Haas, was a cousin to your grandmother Marcella Haas Schultz. Her father George and my grandfather Joseph were brothers. My father and your grandmother were cousins. I just wanted you to know that when I was a kid our families would visit each other. There was always alot of card playing for the adults and us kids would play. Because it was so long ago I don't remember your father, Marvin, or his siblings. If the names are correct I believe there was Duwayne who is now deceased and a Judy and Sandy. My mom told me she thought that Marvin played the drums and Duwayne played the accordian. The thing I remember most about your grandparents is how nice they always were to us. I remember sitting in the front room on the couch looking at all of your grandmothers knicknacks on the end table. There were so many. Thank you for the opportunity to reminisce.

|Lisa Winner Haas||Hi Jeff|
I see that you are Marcella's grandson. Do you know if she is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Stanley with your grandfather Edward? Her obit does not state the name of the cemetery. I thought she probably is buried with her husband. I would like to add her here in findagrave and link her to her family.

Vern is my brother-in-law. I am married to his brother Earl. We are coming to WI next month and I plan to bring my new scanner and laptop. You can email any Haas photo you have or you can bring them to Lucy Haas' house in Cadott for me to scan when we visit, if you live close by. I have entered all the family info Lucy gave me over the last 35+ years. She is amazing at recording family history and her memory is incredible--better than mine. So far I have over 2600 Haas/Henke family members entered into this program. Always willing to share our history. If you are interested, I can email you the Haas report generated from my genealogy program.
If you do email the photos, could you scan at a high resolution-at least 600 dpi.
PS--Are you a polka dancer?
|Lisa Winner Haas||Hi Jeffrey|
Thanks for posting the photo of Amelia Haas. She is my husband's great aunt. Where did you get this? I've researched the Haas' and have never seen this before. Love the photo!
