RE: Wesley Whittenburg
i would question the original creator of the memorial to find out how they got that information as with no photo makes me think guess whork or word of mouth. sadly oklahoma doesnt do a good job at keeping death records back in the day like texas and a few other states did.

RE: Are we family?
I was adopted by Dewey and Ann Williams. Deweywas in the Army at the time. Mama told me that she had me and my sister Susan, but Erika came asking for us back. She said that she gave Susan back but kept me. As I said I am not sure what the full truth was with Mama. I remember that as a child, I had problems with my right leg. There was talk of putting me in braces, which they did for a short time, but Mama stayed with me until I was able to keep my right foot turned out. Mama and Dewey were from Arkansas if this might help your Mother. You have no idea what it would mean to me to find my real Mother. All of these years I have had a hole in my heart for her and my siblings. Thank you again.

Are we family?
I was born August 14, 1958,in Aschaffenburg, Germany to Erika Jean Furthmyer, and my father was listed as unknown. I was adopted in Lawton, OK in 1961. I was told that I had a sister named Susan and an older brother named Eric. I loved my Mother but she did tell fibs, and did not tell me all about my natural mother before she died. I would love to find my brothers and sisters. I thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

Terry Johnston, Highland Cem., Lawton, OK
Glad to have helped out with Terry Johnston. The grave markers in the Babyland section are small flat ones. I don't know if that's a requirement but just thought I'd mention it. The cemetery manager could advise you further if needed.

The cemetery manager identified the location of Terry Johnston as being buried in Babyland, Row 3, Space 19. There is not a headstone. I know this is very disappointing. I will post some photos showing his location.

RE: Photo Request
You are so very welcome. I am so very sorry that I couldn't get a better picture of the Tates for you. I'll check from time to time to see if the cemetery has raised the stone. If they do, I'll get a better picture for you!

Tates in Oaklawn Cemetery Mabank Texas
I forgot to tell you, in this family plot was another marker for a Jo Ann Tate 1836-1836. I took a picture of this marker and posted it just in case she was related and you might want it.

Virgil Tate Request
Hi Susan. I found the marker for the Tates but it is half buried, over the years it has tilted forward. I have to go back and dig it out and clean it up after the ground dries up (we've had rain). Don't give up, I'll get the picture for you asap.
Sorry to take so long.

RE: Thank you
I am taking photo's of all the stone's in the cemetery so if you have more request's then I will be putting them on there. After the Rushville City Cemetery get's done then I will be going to other cemeteries and doing the same.
