Michael Scambelluri
Michael Scambelluri was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and was severely wounded by Italian soldiers and was left behind by them, presumed to be dead. He was Found by fellow paratroopers who renderend first and. Mike died of his wounds in a hospital in Tunisia. After the war his remains were repatriated. You posted his picture and I would like your permission to use the picture for a book about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily. If Mike would have died there, he would have been buried in the GELA Cemetery, I hope to finished the book this year, of course you Will be crediteer and notification when the book Will be finished.

Over 1,200 Young American men and women were buried at GELA between July 1943 and April 1947.

Best wishes

Robert L LeClear
Hello! You put a picture of Robert LeClear's memorial so I figure maybe you may have known him or related. I was wondering if he is the son of Harold and Nina (Taylor) LeClear? The reason I ask is that Harold LeClear was married to my mother's Aunt before she died and had 3 children by her. So if this is the same Robert he would be a half brother to them.

RE: Alex A Taylor
Tkanks for the update! I've added the info. you sent to Pvt. Taylor's page. I'm not related - I had just half an hour a couple of years ago to visit the cemetery and used that time to photograph veterans' graves as best I could.

Vere Mullen
Hi Glenn! Thanks for bringing my error to my attention. With the info you provided, and a bit more research, I will be putting up some type of bio for Pvt Mullen. Hopefully a photo of his stone, too, weather permitting. Please don't hesitate to send any corrections of additional info on any of my postings. Thanks again! Jen
