Bio and Links
I am following these families: Rooney, Carter, Bott, Gilmore, Best, Sargent, Wilson, Giblin, McGurl, among others.
I was born and raised in Muncie, Ind., where the Rooneys came by way of Ironton, Ohio. The Carters came from Matthews, Ind.; the Botts from central New York and northwest Ohio; and the Gilmores from Lawrence and Gallia counties in Ohio.

I listed this for my Uncle Selwyn Gilmore. His father was Cecil Lawrence Gilmore. He and his wife are 90 and 91. Just resently he asked if I could find his family in Ohio. I found several papers and pictures for him. If you would like to contact him, email me with your phone number and I will give it to him.

It was good to here from you. Have you found any good discoveries lately?

I do not have this John Carter linked to any of our Carters. Don't know if it is an coincidence or if this is a new family member that I do not know about. Have you tired looking him up in Ancestry?

I am sorry... I don't. I just like to walk cemeteries. I do love about 45 minutes from Zanesville though...

Of course, you may capture the image of your gggggggg grandfather. The sun was not cooperating the day I took the photo but it is still a beautiful stone.

RE: Thank you
Hi, Cousin. Good to hear from you.

I have only recently discovered the Wilgus line, so I don't know much about them at this point. It does appear that they like unusual names. I saw that Hetty and Hyrturah had brothers named Aurious and Aurelius. Wow. Do you have any information about the family?

RE: Dickie and Rosemary Bennett
Why can't you read and follow the guidelines?

" may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record."

"Before adding a memorial, you should search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added..."

Dickie and Rosemary Bennett
As I mentioned a couple of weeks aga (see post below), I do not make out of guidelines transfers, but am always happy to add or correct any information. Please remove the scanned obituary from Rosemary's memorial (104314207). Those are not allowed. You can find all of the site guidelines under the link on the left of this page labelled 'Help With Find A Grave' or on the main page as 'Frquently Asked Questions'.
