Amelang family
I have created memorials in Shaul Cemetery here in Ottumwa for Ed & Lillie Amelang and Daniel & Rosa (Amelang) Minor. I will be adding gravestone pictures and more information into the Minors' memorials soon. I thought that I would let you know in case you wanted to post some of your family pictures on the memorials.

You've left flowers on several Amelang graves. I imagine you are descended from Maxine Joy Amelang, making us cousins.

John Edward Willis = he's not listed
Thanks so much for your response to my question about Dot's father. I have two volumes of a book called Known Burials of Morehouse Parish. He is not listed in either one. Could I have he name wrong? Was he in another parish, perhaps? Who was his 2nd wife?

Another question. Although I knew the Laing families very well, I knew next to nothing about Dot's Willis family. I knew Miz Willis and her husband (never knew his name) were long divorced, but I never knew the name of any of Dot's brothers and sisters (even if she had any). I DO remember Dot often talking about "Billy Dan" but didn't know who Billy Dan was.

I just scanned the Mer Rouge Red Wave yearbooks from 1952 - 1970. I hope to find more pictures.

Would love to know more about Dot's family? It's the nosey genealogist in me.

Dorothy Faye Wilis Laing - Mer Rouge Cemetery
Hello
I noticed that you left a flower for Dorothy Faye Willis Laing who is buried in the Mer Rouge Cemetery, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.

Are you kin to her Willis family?

I'm looking for the burial of her father, John Edward Willis. Other than the name, I know next to nothing about him.

Miss Dot and her husband, Billy, were my parents' closest friends.
