Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Etowah County, Alabama.

PHOTOS: If I have already posted a tombstone photo on a memorial which I manage, please do not add more photos......UNLESS YOU CAN ADD FAMLY INFORMATION to your photo caption. Then your photo is so very welcome as you have something to contribute! There are thousands of graves without any photos, so let's move on to those. I often add another view of a tombstone if I have "family information" or a section number to show on the photo caption.

No need to ask for permission to use my photos, but please add the "Find A Grave memorial number" for photography credit. Before you use photos from Find A Grave, PLEASE, PLEASE give credit to those volunteers for walking the cemetery grounds to make photos of your family graves. Some photos are good, some not, some markers needs cleaning, some are so old a good photo is almost impossible. Different times of the day will make a difference in the clarity of a photo. If it is a flat marker half covered with mud, then it is almost impossible to have a photo worthy of adding to a memorial. Brushing and water may not help at all. If it is your family memorial and your tombstone photo is better and you want my photo removed, please let me know.

TRANSFERS: I will gladly transfer! If you find a member of your family among my listings and would like for me to transfer or if you have additional information, please go to the "EDIT" tab on the memorial page - then "Suggest a Correction" and I will have a link to the memorial. I will be glad to transfer your family member to you, so you might add data. Too many errors on the old cemetery survey records to submit "Find A Grave" memorials just for big numbers - I prefer walking the cemetery grounds. When I am gone, I am not interested in leaving big numbers of memorials that no one can make corrections, linking to family members, or adding data. I do wish to retain my own family and ancestors....but all the rest....just ask.

RE: Minnie Pearl Coin Chapman
Hi Nancy,

I was thrilled to death, when I saw your message and wanted to thank you for finding Minnie Pearl and taking those wonderful photos of her headstone and burial area.

I deeply appreciate your kindness in doing that for me and also for Mr. Peter. Looking at the photos and captions, I could see what a huge job that was and also wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put into finding her and then climbing under that bush to take the photo of her marker.

You are such a blessing to us all Nancy. I know Mr. Peter will also be very grateful, as he had told me that he planned to make a trip from Washington (state, I think it was) to Forrest cemetery to visit Minnie Pearl's grave...if, he could find it. I don't think he would have been able to find her marker because of it being so hidden. All the work you did in locating Minnie and adding the excellent photos of her headstone and burial location, along with the information to her memorial will now make it possible for him to easily find her when he visits.

I also wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your letting me know when I have an error on a memorial, or links need to be made, or something needs changing or added. Thank you for taking the time to do that for me.

Until Later.......God Bless,
Judie

RE: Pearl WOOD Sewell
I hope she married another Wood - I have found no evidence of that first marriage, but I have found her as a child named Wood. I shudder to think what else that might mean.

Thanks,

Ann

RE: Pilgrims Rest
Just wanted to let you know, I went by today and found Authur Morris grave with no problems. Thank you for giving me such great directions. Would you be so kind as to let me know when you have the brick for Eugene Lancaster down. I live in Jacksonville, so it isn't too far to drive. Thank you for all of the hardwork you do.

RE: Sewell
My pleasure.

BTW - there was a wife between Era and Alvie - Pearl Mae Wood Sewell. I have not located a burial for her, but she died in 1971 in Etowah County. One of her sons, Hershel, is buried in Forrest Cemetery, so it is possible that she is buried there as well. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=85563517

Hershel is not a son of Ernest Sewell.
