Retired, genealogy is my hobby. I was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Lived in Mapleton and Shade Gap for a number of years and then moved to Florida. My grandmother, May Robley Buchanan got me interested in genealogy at a very young age. I am researching Blessing,Berger, Minick/Minnick/Minich,Bard,Herr,Robley,Harshbarger, and on my husband's side Moore,Parker,Tucker,Hicks.|

I wanted to let you know (because you might not look at my caption that I added to Nellie's headstone photos) that Nellie's engraved marker is located on the back side of Glen & Edna Robley's headstone. She is not on cemetery directory and the memorial notes she is unmarked but information was taken from directory??? Not sure what directory she was listed on, but is not on current directory.

Thank you for placing the obituary on here for John Deetor. His wife Mary was my G.G. Grandmother. Mary A. (Orris) Hughes, Deetor. John was her 2nd husband. Their son Clayton Sylvester died in 1918 in Nebraska,I believe, but I have been unable to locate his place of burial. Mary died in 1911 & is buried in Pleasantville Cemetery, Alum Bank, Bedford Co., Pa. according to her death certificate. There is no marker in place. We always assumed she was buried by John, but at the time of her death she lived only a few miles from this cemetery. Thanks again.

I see your request for a photo on findagrave for Westview Cemetery. I am familiar with that cemetery and would be happy to look for you. Would you please call the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out the section and lot numbers for your request? And please also confirm there is actually a marker. The office is reluctant to give me that information and in fact has threatened to charge me for it. They do however give it easily to relatives. The cemetery is massive and that section/lot information will help me narrow the search.

You're very welcome!

Hello! Bonnie, I loved the photos that you
placed on the memorial for your 4th great grandfather in Allen Cemetery, Belleville in
Mifflin County Pennsylvania. You are so extremely
fortunate to have those photos of the old homestead and well house to add to the memorial.
I find such a charm in old houses and that one is really very old. It has so many stories to tell. Do you think he built it?
I was looking for someone who is buried in Mifflin
County, and ran across the memorial. I noticed
that the Find A Grave computer says there are two memorials; ie two buried in that cemetery. Do you know why that is listing two there when I can see only one?
I see your photo request for Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. If you would please call the office at 404-755-6611 and request the section and lot numbers, I will go and look for you. The office wants to charge me for that information. The cemetery is massive and if I have a section number it will help narrow the search. Thanks.

Would you like to have the rest of the family transferred?

To err is human, so the saying goes. I am still
trying to figure out how I messed up .... old age, my eyes or both men having Franklin in their name, I just don't know. Please accept my sincere apologies.
