Began at this site in 2011. It is wonderful. My husband and I appreciate all of the memorials established for our family members and friends. It is so nice to be able to visit (although virtually) the graves of our loved ones. My mother taught my sister and me at a young age to visit the graves of our relatives; we liked making those connections back then and still do today.|

I checked with Carol Eichman, who has been our church secretary for years, about this burial at Flush.
She helped Rev. J. E. Biehler, Sy Ekart, and Tom Dekat-Sexton of St. Joseph Cemetery compile the book of individual burials.
She said not all have the obituaries but if they are listed in the burial book, then they are buried at Flush, otherwise stated different cemetery; examples: A.M. Cordts, Page 74, "buried at Westmoreland"; F. Doll, Page 94, "buried at St. Bernard cemetery, Wamego".
I can't find right off where I found the section and lot numbers so I removed them= however, I do not add info unless I find it in writing, or documentation somewhere. I've been busy with my 88 1/2 yr. old mother, so I haven't had the time to search very long.
I can change Veronica to No cemetery/Burial unknown if that's what you and your family prefer. Also is her name spelled with a k?

Debbie, Thank you, I agree I have found tombstones with incorrect information.
I'm trusting this book mostly because it is printed obituaries, has the news paper and date listed, but I agree, on some of my own family, they are not always correct either.
I mostly make family links/connections.

No relation to those three families you mentioned, however I am related to Umscheid's.
I have a book called Obituaries of Individuals buried at St. Joseph Cemetery Flush KS, written by a relative of mine, and the Rev. J.E.Biehler that was pastor of our church for 47 years.
So I am trying to link spouses, parents, children to as many memorials as I can.
I have not yet checked the tombstones at Flush to see how the last name is spelled, but the following five are buried at Flush, and not sure which spelling to use; Barbara (Schroepfer), George, Johann 'John', Margaretha (Stoeber), and Veronica (Voelker).
I also show a discrepancy on John;
born Oct 4, 1814 Czech Republic
born Apr. 8, 1815 Austria
do you know which is correct?
Brenda, Wamego KS

I am finding two spellings for your family,
the older generation I have found spelled Reibenspeiss, the younger generation I have found Reibenspiess.
Please let me know which is the correct spelling?

Thank you for your nice notes requesting transfers. It is my joy to help you find the memorials. The double relationship is an interesting one. I grew up in a family with many boys, few girls; I was the youngest boy. My oldest brother married a girl in a family with many girls, few boys -- matching ages --- but it didn't work out in this case. Thanks again, zadalew

Thank you for the photo of great Uncle Elias' headstone. In a couple weeks I'm headed to the Bartholomew family reunion in Hays, Kansas and I hope to share these findings on findagrave. Thanks for helping me pull my family together.

Thanks for getting the picture! This little boy's parents are buried in Texas, but his grandparents (William A. and Mary E. Dodgion) and an uncle (Gus Dodgion) and aunt (Jane Darnell) are buried at Louisville.
