 | RE: Jones So glad you found them. | | | Beth McGlasson
 | Jones I had a chance to check the cemetery records at the Jersey County Historical County. Here's what I found:
According to Brighton Township Cemeteries and Family Histories, Macoupin Co., 1800 - 1985, compiled by June Wilderman and Jean Halcom, 1986
Miles Station Cemetery Lot 38 Thomas Jones, 73 years, no dates Tabitha Jones (wife), 1827 - 1866 Ellen W. Jones, 1859 - 1881
Sorry, but I could not find anything about the Crowders. Have you tried contacting the Macoupin County Historical Society?

 | RE: Lillie Fischer grave picture It was no problem. Just so you know I added a memorial for a Peter Fischer. He was buried near Lillie. | | | Beth McGlasson
 | RE: Other Cemeteries I'll need to check. Who are you looking for? | | | Beth McGlasson
 | RE: F. Blackwell The sources of my burial info for that cemetery are: a survey of abandoned Jersey County cemeteries completed by Elaine Witt in the early 1970s, the book "There the Heart Is, A History of Brighton, Illinois, 1826 -1964," and personal records of individuals. The last actually applies only to one burial, that of Marie Oertel. | | | Beth McGlasson
 | RE: F. Blackwell We could not find one, and the cemetery is in rough shape. Lots of trees down and lots of underbrush. We are trying to get permission to go in and clean it up, so we can look for more stones. We found about half of them.
Did you see that we found Hannah Blackwell's stone? | | | Beth McGlasson
 | F. Blackwell I will be happy to transfer management of this memorial to you, but I'd like to hold off long enough to visit the cemetery. We've finally located it. We just haven't had a chance to get out there yet.

 | RE: John Bielec The section they are referring to is Section O. The Allegheny County Historical Society plus a few other interested parties, including myself, photographed every marker in secion O and I don't see John Bielec listed. That doesn't mean he isn't buried there, it just means he either did not have a marker or it is unreadable at this time.

 | RE: Other family members buried there The ladies in the office have always been more than willing to help me search for headstones. They have 2 books I look through to find specific graves. I don't know if they have a policy as far as open searches. One other cemetery I went to told me that they will only do searches for 2 people per visit unless I wanted to pay. Send me your list and I'll try to get back over there in the next few days.
