Bio and Links
Bio Photo Yes, of course I love genealogy! I am addicted! Aren't we all. After all it's in our blood!
I volunteer for FindAGrave along with contributor JGBC, my son, who is also a crazed genealogist.

Most of our family has been in the good old USA from the 1620's on. So if you're wondering if our New England lines may be the same as yours...yes probably.
Before the USA, my lines were from ALL OVER Western Europe.
Including but not necessarily limited to,
Paternal lines:
England. Ireland. Varmland, Sweden.
Maternal line:
France. Baden-Württemberg. Lower-Saxony.
São Jorge, & Pico Islands of The Azores.
PHOTO REQUESTS we claim at Pacific Crest Cemetery range from 1-7 days servicing, as we venture to the Cemetery about once a week. Unfortunately a large number of the requests that we receive are unmarked. If this is the case, we will take a photo of the unmarked grave anyhow - often marking it with a pine cone. We always take multiple pictures so that you can see the grave itself and area in which it is located.

Just FYI, IF I PHOTOGRAPHED YOUR LOVED ONES GRAVE as a result of your request, please use the image as you would like. It is yours!
Also, in the event I created a memorial for your loved one, I would really prefer you were the "owner" of their memorial. I don't care if it's your 10th GGF, I feel they should be yours! JUST ASK ME and please tell me HOW YOU'RE RELATED and "Request A Photo". We want every grave we've created to have a grave image and grave location. The easiest way to request a transfer is to leave me a message on my Contributor page explaining your request, and I will get on it at my earliest convenience!
Please do the same if someone requests a loved ones grave that you manage and are not related to.

Sorry, I won't let go of MY families memorials.

PLEASE send any and all edit requests by selecting EDIT on the memorial.

Thank you
Thank you for taking a picture of my sister's marker. Her name was April Susan Cook and I didn't have a photo of it.

RE: Gunhild Söderström
Thank you for your work. I do appreciate it! The pictures were very fine. I will show them to my mother May-Brith this weekend. The 26th of Januari she will be 97 years old. Her sister Gunhild visited Sweden very often after she moved to the USA. My parents also visited her in her flat in Redondo Beach. Gunhild have worked for Judy Garland and have taken care of Liza Minelli as a child. I know that she also worked for Eddie Cantor as well. We have a signed photograph of him at my mothers home. If you could get a copy of her burial file if would be fine. Strange that there are two different death dates?

You probably know that your name Karin is very common Swedish name?
Best regards P-A Calmhede

Hi! That would be just great. I noticed the different dates. It would be a great information to my mother. I am very grateful for your help. Gunhild became nearly 98 years old and became the oldest of the 12 children. Hopefully my mother who soon is 97 will be older. Only time will tell. Best regards P-A Calmhede

RE: Gunhild Söderström
I will do that. I spent a lot of time in Värmland as a kid. My mother spent 5 years during ww2 in Värmland at one of her other sisters. Gunhild also spent some years in Värmland in the late 1920. They were born in Jämtland furter north in Sweden // Peter-Anders

Gunhild Söderström
Gunhild Söderström is an older sister to my mother..
She emigrated from Sweden in the beginning of the 1950th and died in Redondo Beach in 2002. I noticed that you have located her grave. Could you please take a photo of her grave? My mother who still lives and are 96 years old would be grateful if you do that.
Best Regard Peter-Anders Calmhede

Find A Grave Memorial# 158224244

Hi, and thanks for posting grave information for so many people you had never known.

Do you have any photos etc for the grave of Hart Michael (# 158224244)? As I wrote in my tribute, we were good friends, but since she lived and died before the age of social media, it's like her life was a ghost. She deserves better than that, because she remains alive in my memory.
