Amateur photographer recently became interested in locating family and making a record for future generations.

Searching for history of Berlin and Mitchell (maternal) families of Clarion County, PA,and Venango County, PA, Wareham and Carroll (paternal) families of Indiana and Armstrong Counties, PA.

Willing to do what I can to help others get photos of family graves, given the time.

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, PLEASE GET A SECTION OR PLOT NUMBER/LETTER FROM THE CEMETERY. I have limited time after work to do this. It really helps if I have some idea where to begin looking.

RE: Karl Willis Woodward
I'm sorry, but I'm only the care taker of the memorials so I have no additional information about the burials.

RE: Buchanans
Thank you so much Wendy! And if there is non can you send me an email and give me the names of the ones that don't have them for my files please. It's sad that so many are missing stones. Do you know who takes care of that cemetery now? Thanks again!

Jesse Mitchell
yes, I believe Jesse is correct for the father of Harvey Mitchell. John Jordan's "Genealogical and Personal History of the Allegheny Valley, Pennsylvania" has a biographical sketch of Tobias Mitchell which says his son Jesse is the father of Harvey Mitchell. The biography has a few errors (including calling your grandfather Horland instead of Harland) but I think for the most part it is correct. Also the 1870 census for Ashland Township in Clarion County lists Harvey as a son of Jesse.
Yes, Sarah Mitchell Fye and her husband have older stones in the cemetery. They are buried just behind Tobias and Nancy.
Could you send me your correct email address. I suspect we may send a few long messages to each other on this family!
It's always exciting to find a new cousin.

Tried sending a message to your private e-mail but for some reason it didn't go through.
Yes, we have a family connection. Our common ancestors are Tobias and Nancy Jane Cotterman Mitchell. I descend through their daughter Sarah Ann who married Peter Fye. They all are, of course, buried at St. Marks Cemetery.
I have worked on family history for many years but must admit I have not done much on the Mitchells and Cottermans but would love to share what information I have and do more research.
