Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, my husband and I have been married over 40 years. We raised four children in the neighboring community of Los Alamitos. I descend from old southern families as Deriso, Thigpen, Puckett, Massey and Jackson; and my husband's family lines include a North Carolina pioneer family, the Glazeners. He also descends from Fraley and Sloan.|

Hi! I put in a photo request some time ago (before I transferred her to you). Just received an e-mail
We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for Eleanor Glazener.
The general problem they reported is:
I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave
Your photo request is still active and has not been removed. Hopefully, another contributor can fulfill your request. So, I have decided to delete the photo request for that cemetery. Noticed your comment regarding her location in that cemetery. You could change it to Unknown.

thank you so much for the update and all the information on the Glazeners being on facebook and the family reunion. I'd really like to pursue the headstone idea with them. it is only fitting that one be installed so future generations will know for a certainty the final resting place of George.
|stan glazner||grave marker|
what a wonderful find. I'm grateful for all that has been done for our progenitors. what are your thoughts about starting a fund for a new head stone for George?

Hope these additions will help you with your research. Thanks for the edits you have helped us with in the past. Have a great week. Pat/Frances
|Glenn and Tracy Morrow||RE: Johann and Anna Glessener|
I was told years ago by a Glessner family researcher that they were buried there according to either county or cemetery historical records, but my computer crashed a few years ago and I lost all the info he sent. I know they did live in Brothersvalley and that was the cemetery for their religious denomination in the area.

I don't have a lot on that Gibson line as I haven't spent a lot of time on his line. I got his parents from his death certificate & helped validate with census information.
I know James' burial place as my grandmother's sister, Hellen Fraley, lived to be 100 & remembered where her aunt Eleanor Fraley Gibson was buried.
James Harvey Gibson's father was William K Gibson born 1814/1815 in NC. His mother was Mary Gilliam born in VA.
William & Mary (Polly) were married in Scott Co VA on Apr 23 1835. They lived in Scott Co VA per the 1850 census and had moved to Morgan Co KY by 1860 census. I don't find them past the 1880 census (still in Morgan Co KY)nor have I found any death information.
Per census information, James had at least 11 siblings.
Nelson or Melvin (listed differently)
I know what it is like to hit a wall so I hope you eventually find more information on the Gibsons.
