I am a daughter, sister, a friend. |
I love deserted beaches and cemeteries - I find peace at both.
I have felt defeated yet defiant at the same time.
In order to grow, I do things that scare me.
I love little signs and look for them always.
I prefer gravestones rubbings to just names on paper for a family tree.
And I am constantly looking for Nichols Burying Ground in Rowesville, SC. Please let me know if you run across it.
Thank you to all who created Find A Grave, and to all that help in our searches!

I wanted to let you know I have a document from Greene Co. Ga. concerning the estate of Rich Cone with the names of Abraham Perkins & Patsy Cone also listed. It was dated July 18th 1803. I am wondering if this is a daughter of Abraham because it appears he is in charge of the estate settlement. This is on my tree on Ancestry. There are several other documents concerning the estate in Greene county & I would be happy to send them to you Sincerely , T.R.Cone

Hi, I really appreciate your help in this area. I hope to someday travel that area on one of my bicycle tours. Ezekiel & Rich or Richard Cone are brothers. They are my great-great-grand uncles connected to John Cone who eventually moves to Robertson, Tn. I do not think they are connected to Judge Cone & Jane. I do think our families are connected through the Cone/Perkins marriage. It would be very helpful for any of these records . I was also told there are wills available for Ezekiel Cone at the courthouse. If this is possible ,I would be happy to reimburse costs for copies. Do you know of any Cone Family Cemeteries in the area. Thanks again, T.R.Cone If you would like to discuss family further, feel free to contact me at email@example.com

Thanks for the quick response,I will check my tree for that John F. Cone. It might possibly be John Francis Cone, but I am not sure. There are records indicating the Cone's were in Greene Co. in the late 1700's to early 1800's. I have two names in early 1800's to find connections to,one is Green Berry Cone & the other is a John Cone sheriff of Greene Co. in 1802. I believe they are both part of my direct line that migrates to Tennessee following the Old Georgia Road later the Federal Road above Nashville,Tn. Thanks again for your time. I will try an find a copy of that book you suggested. I am preparing a trip to Enville, Tn. for a family reunion near the family farms of 150 years ago. I am also in the waiting period of dna results to connect to other cousins. Let me know if I can assist you in West Tennessee cemeteries, which I try to visit every year. Sincerely,T.R.Cone

I am searching for family cemeteries in Greene Co. Georgia& I noticed you had found a Perkins cemetery. Patsy Perkins married a Cone member of the family, but there are no Cone's listed in Greene Co.Georgia. I am a descendant of John Cone which I am certain there are family members buried in Greene County ,but I have had no results tracking them down. Let me know if you come across any. Thank you , Sincerely T.R.Cone

Have no idea what the realtionship could be between the Kings and Perkins. I'm a direct descendant of the Kings of Wilmington, New Hanover Co., NC with Robbins and Thompson connections. To my knowledge there isn't a connection with my Kings either, but who knows. Thank you for taking the photos of the Kings tombstones.

It took me a while to find it. I wish I had my gloves with me so I could have cleaned up the marker. Let me know if you are still planning to visit and I will tell you how to find the marker. ~Sue

Bless you for taking the trouble to find Gussie Mae and her Husband Claude instead of just telling me they were not there! You went the extra mile and I really, really appreciate this! I had no idea this was incorrect until you told me, but have corrected the problem! Have a blessed week-end!

Thank you very much for the photos of my great-aunt and her husband. That was really quick! I really appreciate the nice closely cropped view and the close up of the individual name plates. They look great. Thanks again, Judy
